Survivor season 48 episode 8 was released on CBS on April 16, 2025. The episode continues the twists and turns that are served on a hot dish to the Niu Nai tribe, full of the contestants. This installment also saw an elimination in the form of Chrissy Sarnowski.
It was a no-brainer because Chrissy has been vocal about her negative thoughts towards the influential players, and as a retaliation, they took her out.
However, it is important to note that she could have saved her place by not speaking out too much. It was because the tribal council was previously more inclined to kick Kamilla out.
But they changed their decision when Chrissy's words hit their ears. Apart from one vote cast towards Shauhin, all the rest were cast in favor of sending Chrissy home from Survivor.
Survivor season 48 episode 8 - The Elimination
To understand the Survivor elimination, the viewers need to understand what happened in the episode during the challenge. The group was asked to form pairs of two, and the top two pairs will win a reward while the bottom two pairs will go on a journey.
Chrissy and Kyle were paired up together, and they were on the journey. While they were heading out for their task, the two talked about the upcoming elimination and who they wanted to oust from the crew. Chrissy lets her feelings be known about Joe, while Kyle wants to eliminate Shauhin.
As for their Journey challenge, each player gets a chute, and they have to avoid getting three red balls in theirs, or they lose their vote. The group ultimately worked together against Star, as she ended up losing her vote.
After the Survivor challenge, everyone met and discussed who they wanted to take out. Kyle and Joe talk as the latter expresses how the group is deciding to take out Kamila while keeping the strong 5 players in the game.
However, Kyle is against that idea because Kamilla is his ally. He reveals that Chrissy has been thinking about sending Joe out.
At the Tribal Council, as the elimination votes were about to be cast, Kyle gave a recap about the journey and soon started to talk about the elimination. Chrissy gets vocal about sending the strongest pairs home, such as Joe and Eva.
There is a huge argument with David over the same, as he could not understand the point behind sending strong players home on Survivor. However, the strong players are "strong" for a reason, and they all collectively decided to send Chrissy home.
Even though they were hoping to take Kamilla out before, the reasoning was that they could wait for yet another elimination round before sending her out. Chrissy has now become a member of the jury.
