According to Variety, Streep is set to star in the series adaptation of the novel The Corrections, written by Jonathan Franzen. Currently, the project is with CBS Studios and is in the early stages of development. Franzen is adapting his own work and will be the executive producer of the film. This is the second attempt at making a series adaptation of The Corrections since 2012.


According to NBC, Meryl Streep is likely to play the role of the older version of singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell in the upcoming biopic directed by Cameron Crowe. Streep has been good friends with Joni Mitchell, though the casting for the biopic has not been confirmed by the makers yet. According to Deadline, the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is in the early stages of development, and the original cast of the film, including Meryl Streep, is likely to reprise their roles. The confirmation about the news is yet to come. Streep will also be seen reprising her role as Loretta in the upcoming 5th season of Only Murders in the Building.
