The Young and the Restless executive producer Anthony Morina has exited the show. He's been EP of the CBS soap since 2018.

Some changes took place over the holidays at The Young and the Restless. No on-screen talent is involved in the shakeup, but that doesn't mean that viewers won't see some differences on-screen.

Y&R executive producer Anthony Morina has stepped down.

"After 16 years, it's time to move on to other things," Morina shared in a statement to

Though his career at Y&R has many highlights, Morina said that he is "most proud of keeping the show going over the last two and a half years through COVID."

In 2021, actress Briana Thomas, who appeared as a Crimson Lights barista on Y&R in 2018 and 2019, filed a lawsuit claiming that Morina made repeated advances toward her, made unwanted comments about her appearance, and offered her a "private acting lesson." When Thomas rebuffed his advances, the actress states that she was fired.

Josh Griffith -- who is also the head writer -- will now be the sole executive producer for The Young and the Restless.

Do you think Anthony Morina's exit will have a positive or negative impact on Y&R? How do you feel about one person acting as both head writer and EP? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
