The Young and the Restless has cast Richard Gleason in the role of Victor Newman's brother Matt Miller.

Victor Newman may be getting a long overdue family reunion. The Young and the Restless has cast Richard Gleason in the role of the mogul's little brother, Matt Miller, who is set to return to town and stir up trouble this fall for the first time in 15 years.

The actor teased his appearance with a behind-the-scenes shot from his dressing room, though he didn't reveal which show he was actually working on. Soaps In Depth reports the mystery role is that of Victor's younger brother.

"Deep in the bowels of CBS in my dressing room," Gleason shared on Instagram. "Four episode arc. Super hush hush. Not allowed to say."

Matt Miller first appeared on Y&R in 1983 with actor Robert Parucha in the role. Both Matt and Victor (Eric Braeden) had been given up for adoption, and Matt came to Genoa City in search of his older brother. His short stay included an almost romance with Ashley (Eileen Davidson), set up by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) as a way to keep Ashley away from Victor. Matt left town in 1985 but made a brief return in 2003 to let Victor know that their father was on his death bed.

While the powers that be at Y&R are keeping mum about what brings Matt back to town this time around, he's likely going to be part of the storyline of Jack (Peter Bergman) looking for his real father.

Gleason's previous credits include guest-starring roles on Frasier, Las Vegas, CSI: NY, Castle, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. He also appeared a couple of times on This Is Us, which stars Y&R alum/Matt's on-screen nephew Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman).
