Dean left Lisa and Ben because he decided that was the only way to protect them from the dangers of his life and his hunter’s life.
Supernatural is an American television series that aired from September 13th, 2005, to November 19th, 2020. The show aired for 15 seasons, totalling 327 episodes, and has also led to several spinoffs, including The Winchesters. It follows brother Dean and Sam Winchester as they hunt and battle a variety of supernatural beings, including demons and angels, ghosts, vampires, and more. The series became a fan favorite and a critical success, though ratings did drop near the end of its run. Despite that, Supernatural still ended its time on television as the longest-running American live-action fantasy series on television.
Why did Dean give up on Lisa in Supernatural?
After Sam is trapped in Lucifer’s Cage with Lucifer and Michael, Dean retires from hunting and starts a relationship with Lisa again. He lives with her and her son Ben for over a year before things go south after Sam is freed from the cage. This sees Dean return to hunting, and after several incidents, including one where Dean shoves Ben and nearly bites Lisa in a vampire state, the couple breaks up.
However, that doesn’t end their story as Ben calls Dean a few episodes later to say that Lisa is in trouble, and Dean rushes over. But he finds that she is getting ready to go out on a date. She lets him in, and the two have a conversation about the future and what they want. Things don’t end well for Dean as he leaves and Lisa attempts to move on with her life. However, the worst happens in the season finale of season 6, as Lisa and Ben are kidnapped by Crowley’s demons.
While Dean finds them, Lisa is possessed in the process and gravely injured after the demon stabs her body. Dean does manage to exorcise the demon and rushes her to the hospital, and while she nearly dies, Castiel saves her as a favour for Dean. He then realises that she and Ben will forever be in danger, and thus, he asks Castiel to erase him from her memories.
Who is Lisa in Supernatural?
Lisa Braeden is a yoga instructor who had a one-week stand with Dean Winchester when they met in 1998 and she is portrayed by Cindy Sampson. She then met and slept with a guy she met in a biker bar and had a son named Ben who bears a startling resemblance to Dean. She returns in season 3 first during Ben’s birthday party when Dean shows up in her town hoping to meet and hook up with her again. However, she is furious with him and rejects him, but she slowly warms up to his presence over the course of the episode.
This happens after Dean saves Ben from a changeling, and by the end of the episode, she kisses him and asks him to stay for a few more days after the two brothers solve the supernatural incident.
