Bonnie Crasnoff appeared in 2 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy- Season 2, episode 6, titled “Into You Like a Train” and Season 3, episode 17, titled “Some Kind of Miracle.” She was a patient admitted to the Seattle Grace Hospital. She was one of the victims of a tragic train crash. She and a stranger named Tom were stabbed with a pole due to which they were not able to move.

Even in a serious medical situation, they didn’t lose their calm and kept the mood light by joking around. As Bonnie and Tom were in the same situation, they understood each others’ feelings, and a bond was formed. After doing an MRI, it was discovered that Bonnie’s spinal cord was severely injured and she was not able to move her feet. In this situation, the doctors could save only one of them, and they decided to save Tom Maynard's life.

Tom opposed the idea but the doctors explained to him the situation. If they remove the pole, both of them will bleed badly and they won’t be able to save either of them. Tom’s injuries were less critical and there was a better chance that they could treat the damage. Bonnie accepted her fate and asked Dr. Derek to say goodbye to her fiance Danny on her behalf. Her fiance was flying out to Seattle, but he didn’t reach their own time. In the end, she died because of her injuries. Dr. Meredith was deeply affected by her death.

In season 3, she appeared in episode 17, titled “Some Kind of Miracle”. Bonnie appears in Dr. Meredith’s afterlife and is shocked that she still remembers. In her afterlife, Meredith relives the day when Bonnie was admitted to the hospital and she was not able to save her life. Bonnie motivates her and tells her to not give up and fight for her life.
