For more than a decade, Emmy-nominated Rebecca Herbst has played Elizabeth Webber. That will continue for at least the immediate future, as Herbst has dispelled Internet rumors that she's been fired.
Nearly two years ago, fans and castmembers alike were stunned to learn that Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) had been let go from General Hospital. The uproar over Herbst's ouster led the show to reconsider its decision.
Now, as 2013 is inching closer, rumors of the actress' dismissal are once again circulating.
This time, however, they are not true.

"Thank you so much for all your concern and support, but I have not quit GH, nor have I been let go," Herbst assured fans on Twitter.
The rumors of Herbst's firing seem to have started by the show's decision to write out her on-screen brother, Scott Reeves (Steven Webber). Reeves revealed just last week that he's been let go.
"I have a heavy heart. My friend, @reevesforreal, who means so much to me, was let go," Herbst added. "I'm wide awake thinking about all the endless possibilities he has to look forward to. He has more musical talent in his little finger... I was so lucky 2 play his 'sis' but even more blessed 2 have him in my life.."
Herbst joined the cast of General Hospital in August 1997. In 2007 and 2012, the actress received Outstanding Supporting Actress nominations at the Daytime Emmys.
In addition to a lengthy run and award nominations, Herbst also met her husband, Michael Saucedo, while working on GH. The pair married in 2001. They have three children.
