Fan favorite Bradford Anderson has confirmed that he's exited his role as General Hospital's Damian Spinelli. Anderson has been a part of the GH cast since November 2006.
Four-time Daytime Emmy nominee Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) has wrapped up his seven-year run on General Hospital. The actor confirmed the news of his exit to fans on Twitter.
"Thanks everyone for the well wishes," Anderson shared. "I'm excited for what's ahead but am so grateful for these amazing 7 yrs, and for all of you!"
Anderson's exit puts an end to several years of speculation about his future in daytime. In 2010, Anderson landed a role in a pilot that could've forced him to step away from General Hospital. The pilot wasn't picked up, and Anderson remained with the show.

Earlier this year, Anderson dropped to recurring status. When fans feared that they wouldn't see the actor as often, Anderson took to Twitter to calm their fears. -- something that turned out to be untrue.
"Recurring isn't a bad word," Anderson said at the time. "Keep watching, great stuff is coming!"
Anderson's co-star Emme Rylan (Lulu Spencer) told Soap Opera Digest that she's been very emotional over her friend's exit.
"When I watched Spinelli and Maxie's good-bye on the live feed, I burst into tears," Rylan confessed. "He is one of my favorite actors that I've ever worked with and I am going to miss him so much!"
Anderson made his GH debut in November 2006. In those seven years with GH, Anderson has received four Daytime Emmy nominations. He received his first nomination in 2009, and he was again nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category this year.
Anderson's on-screen love interest, Emily Wilson (Ellie Trout), will also be exiting the show as Ellie and Spinelli leave Port Charles to relocate to Portland, Oregon. Wilson joined GH in September 2012.
"Blessed to be a part of the General Hospital family. It was incredible, and I feel so fortunate to have spent some time in Port Charles," Wilson shared on Twitter. "Thank you so much for the kind words, support, and love! You are all amazing, and you mean the world to me! THANK YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART!"
