Colin Trevorrow is the director of Jurassic World. He is an American director, producer, and screenwriter, born on September 13, 1976, in San Francisco, California, United States. In 1999, he graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He partnered up with Derek Connolly in 2008. They met each other at NYU before interning at SNL. In 2012, he made his directorial debut with the film Safety Not Guaranteed. After the release, it caught the attention of many people including Disney and Steven Spielberg.
Disney hired Trevorrow and Connolly to write a remake of the 1986 film Flight of the Navigator. They were also hired to reboot the Jurassic Park franchise. Trevorrow co-wrote and directed the 2015 film Jurassic World. After that, he went on to direct, co-write, and co-produce the next two parts of the Jurassic World franchise - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
