It Ends with Us is an American romantic drama film released on August 9, 2024. The film is directed by Justin Baldoni and is based on a 2016 novel written by Colleen Hoover. The film follows the story of Lily Bloom, a young woman who moves to Boston to start a new life and open her own business. She meets Ryle Kincaid, a successful and charming neurosurgeon. They both end up falling in love. However, as their relationship grows, Lily begins to see a darker side of Ryle. Things become even more complicated when Lily’s ex-boyfriend and first love, Atlas Corrigan, reappears in her life. This forces her to make difficult choices about her past, present, and future.

It Ends with Us received mixed reviews from critics but it was successful at the box office. The movie had a production budget of $25 million and earned over $351 million worldwide. It Ends with Us is a movie about love, strength, and the challenges of relationships.

Blake Lively as Lily Bloom

Lily Bloom, played by Blake Lively, is one of the main characters of the film. After her father’s death, she moves to Boston to start a new life. She had a troubled childhood as she grew up with an abusive father. She is a florist and wants to open her own flower shop. She falls in love with Ryle Kincaid, a successful doctor, but their relationship becomes difficult as he reveals her dark side. The story takes a turn when her 1st love, Atlas Corrigan, returns, she must make hard choices about her future.

Blake Lively is an American actress born on August 25, 1987, in Los Angeles, United States. She made her debut in Sandman (1998) and is known for her work in Gossip Girls (2007-2012). Her other notable work includes The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants (2005), New York, I Love You (2008), The Age of Adaline (2015), and A Simple Favor (2018).

Justin Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid

Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni, is one of the main characters of the film. Ryle Kincaid is a talented and confident neurosurgeon. He falls in love with Lily Bloom the moment he sees her on the rooftop. At first, he appears to be a nice guy; however, he struggles with anger issues, which create problems in their relationship. Ryle's abusive behavior forces Lily to make difficult choices about her future.

Justin Baldoni is an American actor and director, born on January 24, 1994, in Los Angeles, United States. He made his acting debut in The Young and The Restless (2004). He made his directorial debut with Five Feet Apart (2019). He is best known for his role in Jane the Virgin (2014-2019). His other works are Everwood (2005-2006), Undercover Bridesmaid (2012), and Con Man (2018).

Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan

Atlas Corrigan, played by Brandon Sklenar, is one of the main characters of the film. He is Lily’s first love and they met when they were teenagers. Atlas was homeless and used to live in the empty house next to Lily's house and she helped him. They cared deeply for each other, but life separated them. Years later, Atlas returns, bringing back old feelings and memories. His presence makes Lily question her current relationship and think about what she truly wants. Atlas is kind and supportive and represents a second chance at love for Lily.

Brandon Sklenar is an American actor, born on June 26, 1990, in New Jersey, United States. He made his acting debut in the crime mystery film Cornered (2011). His breakthrough role was in Vice (2018), his other notable work includes Midway (2019), The Offer (2022), Westworld (2022), and 1923 (2022-2023).

Jenny Slate as Allysa

Allysa, played by Jenny Slate, is Ryle Kincaid’s younger sister, a stay-at-home wife, and also very rich. She comes across Lily Bloom's flower shop and wants to work with her. She quickly became close friends with Lily. She is kind, supportive, and cares deeply about Lily. Allysa is also married to Marshall, and they have a happy relationship. Even though she loves her brother, she wants what is best for Lily. She helps Lily during difficult times and stands by her side when she needs support.

Jenny Slate is an American actress, writer, and stand-up comedian, born on March 25, 1982, in Massachusetts, United States. She started her career as a stand-up comedian and got recognition with Saturday Night Live. She is also a voice actor and has lent her voice to many films including The Lorax (2012), Zootopia (2016), Despicable Me 3 (2017), and others. Her other notable work includes Bob's Burger (2012), Parks and Recreation (2013-2015), House of Lies (2013-2015), and Kroll Show (2013-2015).

Hasan Minhaj as Marshall

Marshall, played by Hasan Minhaj, is one of the supporting characters in the film. Marshall is Allysa’s husband, who is also best friends with Ryle since high school. He got rich by selling the apps that he developed. He is funny and caring and has a happy and loving relationship with Allysa. He supports his wife in everything she wants to do. Marshall is also Ryle Kincaid’s brother-in-law. He brings lighthearted moments to the story and supports his family. His character shows what a healthy and supportive relationship looks like.

Hasan Minhaj is an American comedian, actor, writer, producer and host. He was born on September 23, 1985, in California, United States. He started his career in comedy and rose to fame with his work in The Daily Show. His first Netflix special was Homecoming King in 2017. He also won an Emmy Award for his Netflix talk show, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (2018).
