Born on August 15, 1972, Benjamin Géza Affleck, aka Ben Affleck, is an American actor and filmmaker who is well known for his roles across film and television. The American made his debut when he was still a child in 1981 in the film The Dark End of the Street on the big screen, before making his small screen debut a few years later. However, it wasn’t until 1993 that Affleck truly hit the spotlight with his role in Dazed and Confused.
His first leading role came in Rich Wilkes’ comedy film Glory Daze in 1995 after which Affleck’s career began to take off. Alongside Matt Damon, he won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for writing Good Will Hunting. The duo also starred in the film and Affleck soon established himself as a leading man in Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Hollywoodland, and several other films.
He won his second Academy Award for directing and starring in the 2013 film Argo. Aside from that, Affleck has also won two British Academy Film Awards, two Golden Globe awards, and several other awards throughout his career.
