NATAS has released clips from this year's Outstanding Guest Performer reels, featuring noteworthy performances from The Young and the Restless' Elissa Kapneck (ex-Sasha), Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Simon Black), and Eva LaRue (ex-Celeste Rosales); General Hospital's Michael E. Knight (Martin Grey); and Days of our Lives' Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway).

There's no shortage of talent in the daytime industry, where actors deliver top-notch performances under tight time restrictions with little prep. But some would argue that the most talented might be the guest performers, who somehow manage to do all of the above with the added challenge of having to wow in a very short amount of time, sometimes with just a handful of episodes -- or less. If you'd like to see some of that talent in action, you're in luck. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences just released highlights from the submission reels of this year's Guest Performer contenders.

As can be seen in the video (below), only highlights of each actor's full reel are shown -- but just because the clips are short doesn't mean they're short on entertainment!

Check out the video below to see Elissa Kapneck as The Young and the Restless' Sasha, a down-on-her-luck mother who's explaining why she almost abandoned her baby; Michael E. Knight as General Hospital's Martin Grey, who's grilling Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) on the stand; Eva LaRue as The Young and the Restless' Celeste Rosales, who's blasting Kyle (Michael Mealor) for his treatment of women; Jeffrey Vincent Parise as Y&R's Simon Black, who's taking Connor (Judah Mackey) hostage; and Chrishell Stause as Days of our Lives' Jordan Ridgeway, who's begging Rafe (Galen Gering) to help her get out of the hospital and to her baby.

As Soap Central previously reported, NATAS has also released highlights from the reels submitted for the following categories: Outstanding Drama Series (all four soaps), Outstanding Supporting Actress , Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Young Performer, and Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be returning to television via a broadcast on CBS on Friday, June 26, at 8PM ET/PT. For a list of nominations in the major daytime drama categories, click here. For a complete list of all nominations, click here.
