Days of our Lives fans now know who killed Mike Manning, but one pressing question remained: Where would actor Mike Manning land next? We now know the answer.

It's been several months since Charlie Dale met his demise, but that hasn't stopped actor Mike Manning from appearing on Days of our Lives -- even if it's only been in flashbacks. Soon, though, fans will have somewhere else the catch the actor. Manning has joined the cast of the indie drama The Way Out.

Deadline reports that Manning will play the role of Shane Collins, who is described as a manipulative boxer. The sketchy Shane offers advice that will soon find the main character "walking a dark path that jeopardizes not only his sobriety, but also his life."

The Way Out will also star Sherri Shepherd, Jonny Beauchamp, and Ashleigh Murray.

Filming is currently under way, but there is no word on when the project will be released.

Manning, who is also known for playing Caleb McKinnon on The Bay and Colin Morris on Youthful Daze, debuted on Days of our Lives in October 2020.
