DAYS' Wally Kurth mourns the loss of Bonnie Lockhart

Fans aren't the only ones who are sad to see the end of Judi Evans' Bonnie Lockhart. It turns out Days of our Lives' Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) is pretty heartbroken, too.

This week, Days of our Lives fans had to say goodbye to Bonnie Lockhart -- Adrienne Kiriakis' shady look-alike -- and the farewell hasn't been easy. After all, the blast-from-the-past character has given audiences a lot of laughs and entertainment since returning to Salem in late July.

As fans expressed their disappointment on various social media sites, Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) also weighed in with his feelings on seeing Judi Evans' second alter ego leave the canvas.

"I for one, am going to miss Bonnie," he wrote. "@TheJudiEvans was truly hilarious. The K house will never be the same. @carlivatiron @greg_meng"

Bonnie's return to Salem was one of head writer Ron Carlivati's first storylines for the NBC soap, and one that was universally supported. Not only did it bring a fan favorite character from the show's vaults back to the canvas, it allowed Evans and Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) the chance to work together for the first time in almost 30 years of being on the show together.

"Deidre and I had never worked together before and we just had a blast," Evans said at the time that news of Bonnie's return was announced. "We really enjoyed working together so much... The writing is hilarious."

Luckily, Bonnie's last words as she took off in a taxi cab during her last episode on Wednesday, October 25, were, "Don't worry, Salem -- I'll be back," meaning there's every possibility viewers will see the scheming character in the future.
