Koffman, who left One Life to Live in 1999 after an eight year run on the show, will be back for ten episodes. That stay is very much definite. A spokesperson for Koffman hints that Koffman is in talks for a longer stay on the show.
Cassie's exit in 1999 came after months of turbulent storylines: her character faked paralysis and then was shipped off to Switzerland by Dorian, her mother. The write-off was to have allowed Koffman time for maternity leave. However, when Koffman was ready to return to OLTL, Jill Farren Phelps, the show's executive producer at the time, apparently told the actress that her character was no longer needed.
Koffman isn't saying publicly if she would or would not return to OLTL on a full-time basis. The incident with Phelps is said to have left a bitter taste in her mouth.
On the personal front, Koffman and her husband, Marty, welcomed the birth of their second child, daughter Billie, this past August. It had been widely rumored that Koffman had turned down an earlier offer to return to OLTL because of her pregnancy.
