Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live/General Hospital; ex-Kiki Jerome, GH) and her fiancé, Taylor Crousore, are the proud new parents of a bouncing baby girl named Kiera Sky Crousore born on January 29.
It all began on January 28 when Alderson took to Instagram to share that she was at the hospital and in labor. In the video, which she shared to stories, she gave a quick update about the imminent arrival of her baby girl and thanked her fans for their sweet messages and sharing the exciting journey with her. In another video message, both Alderson and her fiancé lounged together on a hospital bed and revealed that they were still waiting for their baby girl to be born. Crousore was using the time to read The Expectant Father. In the third video, both Alderson and Crousore were dancing to help Alderson with the pain and to move things along with the labor.
On January 30, the actress posted a much-anticipated update with a sweet photo Kiera on Instagram along with a heartfelt message that read in part, "She's everything & more than we could have ever asked for!!! Madly in love"
Friends and former co-stars were quick to congratulate Alderson and Crousore including actress Bree Williamson (Jessica Buchanan, OLTL; ex-Claudette Beaulieu, GH), who wrote, "I love her!!!!!" Jen Lilley (ex-Maxie Jones, GH; Theresa Donovan, Days of our Lives) also weighed in saying, "Eeeeeek!!!!!!! She's perfect!!! congrats momma! Praying for your recovery❤️❤️"
Alderson began her career in daytime when she landed the role of OLTL character Starr Manning in 1998 at just six years old. After OLTL was canceled in 2011, the actress crossed over to GH, where she resumed playing Starr. However, Alderson's days as Starr were numbered; ABC lost its rights to all OLTL characters in a battle with Prospect Park, prompting the writers to force Starr out of town after the character's lover and daughter were killed in a car accident. GH kept Alderson on in the newly created role of Kiki Jerome, but the actress chose to leave daytime in 2015.
