As Sharon was rushing around, getting ready to leave the house, she spoke to Noah, who was slumped forlornly on the sofa. Noah was lost in thought and didn't hear a word Sharon had said. Sharon asked Noah what was wrong. Noah replied that artists were known to zone out. Sharon asked Noah to explain. Noah insisted he was fine and left to jog, which he claimed would clear his head. After Noah stepped out the front door, Sharon sent a text message to Nick, inviting him to join her at Crimson Lights to talk about Noah.

After Noah returned from his jog, Faith arrived downstairs and teased her big brother about being sweaty and smelly. After Noah sighed and plopped down on the sofa, Faith suggested he talk about what was bugging him. Noah admitted that their mother had urged him to talk, too. Faith explained that if Noah talked to her, he could ease their mother's mind by assuring her that he'd gotten his troubles off his chest. Faith promised to keep everything Noah told her confidential.

Noah confessed that he'd fallen in love in London with a fellow artist. Noah said initially, he and his lover had easily critiqued each other's work and celebrated each other's successes, though the relationship had faltered when his success had outpaced hers. Noah cried that when his partner had left him, he'd been crushed. Noah admitted that he'd left London because it held memories he didn't want to relive. Faith asked Noah if he wanted to reconcile with his former girlfriend. Noah replied that he wouldn't want to return to the turmoil and feared making the same mistakes again. Faith invited Noah to get out and join her at Crimson Lights for treats.

Sharon served Tessa her drink at Crimson Lights and asked about Mariah. Tessa admitted that Abby's decision to leave Dominic with Devon without having given her a heads-up had thrown Mariah for a loop and made her feel lost again. Tessa said Mariah had busied herself with work as a distraction. Tessa acknowledged that she, too, had been busy with the release of her LP, and she had asked Noah to create the artwork. Sharon was grateful Tessa had reached out to Noah because he'd been feeling down. Sharon told Tessa she suspected heartbreak was the cause, though Noah wasn't willing to discuss it.

Jack ran into Phyllis on the patio at Crimson Lights and told her he'd be accompanying Ashley on her flight to Spain. Phyllis asked Jack why he was going with Ashley. Jack explained that Chance had been in Valencia when his safe house had blown up, so they assumed when Abby had abruptly left town that she'd gone there because she couldn't accept that Chance was dead, as most had assumed. Jack said the stakes were high for both Abby and Ashley, so he wanted to be there for them. Phyllis praised Jack for always going above and beyond for the people he loved.

After Sharon delivered the drinks and snacks Jack had ordered, he headed to the airport. Sharon gazed at Phyllis with a knowing look. Phyllis, annoyed, said, "What?" Sharon replied, "You tell me." Sharon said she'd noticed the closeness between Phyllis and Jack, which had deepened mere days after Phyllis and Nick had ended their relationship. Phyllis recalled that she and Jack had always been friends and that she'd been heartbroken over her breakup with Nick. Nick happened to enter and sensed the tension between Phyllis and Sharon. Nick asked what was going on. Phyllis replied, "Sharon seems to think that we broke up because of Jack. I told her to keep her nose out of it."

Phyllis cried that everyone seemed to have an opinion about why their relationship hadn't lasted. Phyllis told Nick it was nobody's business but theirs. Nick asked Phyllis why she was so upset. Phyllis said it was because they'd failed and she'd failed, and nobody but them should pass judgment. After Phyllis rushed out, Sharon said, "Methinks she protests too much." Nick told Sharon he wouldn't talk about it with her, for obvious reasons. Sharon changed the subject to Noah and expressed concern about his depressed mood. Nick said breakups at Noah's age were serious. Sharon explained that as a mom, it was her instinct to want to help.

In the main dining area at Crimson Lights, Tessa was recording a video for Mariah when Noah and Faith arrived. From the doorway leading to the patio, Sharon and Nick watched. Nick assured Sharon that Noah looked okay. Noah and Faith joined Tessa. Noah asked Tessa about Mariah. Tessa mentioned her failed attempt to make a video asking Mariah to name her favorite pie. Faith replied, "Probably Mom's apple crisp." Noah said his was pumpkin pie. Tessa said she preferred blueberry pie.

When Faith went to order dessert, Sharon and Nick quietly summoned her to the patio. Faith surmised that her parents were concerned and assured them that Noah was okay. Faith explained that Noah had broken up with a girl he'd been seeing in London. Sharon and Nick didn't press Faith after she told them she'd promised her brother she'd keep their discussion confidential. After Faith walked way, Nick and Sharon were impressed that little sister had become her big brother's confidante.

After Faith stepped away, Noah told Tessa that he'd confided in his sister and felt better. Tessa acknowledged that ups and downs were part of adulthood. Tessa admitted she'd learned not to plummet into despair each time she encountered a bump. Noah said he understood. Noah told Tessa that when he'd been with her, he hadn't needed to try so hard to feel like everything was okay. Noah offered to record Tessa's video for Mariah. When Tessa laughed, Faith noticed how happy Tessa and Noah seemed when they interacted.

Ashley stopped by the Newman ranch before she headed to the airport. After Victor learned that Jack would be traveling with Ashley, Victor announced that he'd changed his mind about how they should handle the situation. Victor, recalling the military pin found in Abby's hotel room, said the implications of the situation had convinced him to accompany Ashley to Spain. Nikki overheard Victor's plans. Nikki greeted Ashley and asked her if she was ready to fly to Spain. Victor replied, "So am I. I've decided to go along with Ashley."

Victor expressed concern that Abby might take unnecessary risks. Ashley told Victor that discovery of the military pin was no reason to change their agreed-upon plan, so there was no reason for them both to fly to Europe. Nikki explained that Abby, in a high emotional state, might be more receptive to her mother. Ashley agreed that with both of them present, Abby might dig in her heels. Nikki reminded Victor that he could help from Genoa City by keeping his resources informed. Victor backed off and told Ashley to phone when she arrived. Ashley assured Victor and Nikki that everything would be okay. After Ashley left, Nikki told Victor he'd made the right call, though she acknowledged his history of being in control of everything. Victor replied, "Yeah, I still am."

Nick, concerned about Abby, visited with Devon at his penthouse. Devon said Abby had talked herself out of believing Chance had been killed. Nick asked Devon if Chance could have escaped. Devon recalled that Christine and the State Department doubted he had, so Chance was presumed dead. Nick sighed and cried that when Abby learned Chance was dead, it would devastate her even more. Devon added that it would be devastating for Dominic, too.

Victor joined Devon and Nick and informed them that Ashley and Jack were flying to Spain in search of Abby. Nick left abruptly. Devon asked Victor about the tension between him and Nick. Victor said Nick believed his father pitted his children against each other to create tension and used the tension for his own good. Victor recalled having grown up with an absent father and an estranged mother, which had made him feel very protective about his own children. Victor told Devon he'd understand about being a protective father when Dominic was older. Victor stressed to Devon that Dominic would need a father figure.

Aboard the Newman jet, Ashley told Jack she was happy to have him with her. Jack said his focus would be helping her track down Abby. Ashley cried that the holidays wouldn't be what she'd anticipated with everyone gathered to celebrate Dominic's first Thanksgiving. Jack assured Ashley they'd have something to be thankful for, even if not on the actual day. Ashley told Jack she was thankful for him.

Sally entered Adam's office after he summoned her. Adam commended Sally for having become a hot commodity on social media. Sally said she'd gained a great number of followers on her personal accounts and had received many requests for interviews and messages from brides clamoring for a copy of Victoria's wedding gown. Adam was eager to capitalize on Sally's fame and promote her as an on-camera personality to create video content for Newman Fashions. Sally assured Adam he could count on her and Chloe to put the plans into action.

Sally admitted that expanding into video content had been her plan from the beginning, though she expressed disappointment that she and Adam would never see each other outside of the office. Sally credited Adam and Chloe for setting her up in an excellent career, so she thought it best not to risk messing it up. Sally admitted she was still drawn to Adam, though she'd learned to accept having boundaries at work. Sally assured Adam she'd be content as colleagues and friends, so she could focus on her impending success.

Victor entered Adam's office and explained that he'd decided to stay behind and let Ashley attend to Abby. Victor and Adam began discussing Billy. Victor said Billy had stopped by to grovel. Ashland listened outside the office when Adam asked Victor if Billy had accepted their offer. Victor said Billy had counteroffered to step back from ChancComm if they'd back off and allow Lily to run the company. Victor explained that backing off meant no sabotage, no retaliation, and no lawsuits. Adam asked what they'd get in return. Victor said they'd get to watch Billy resign publicly. Adam said he couldn't imagine that Victor would actually contemplate accepting Billy's offer. Ashland entered and interjected, "I'm curious, as well."

Victor admitted that Billy's offer had been quite a surprise. Ashland asked Victor if he'd been surprised by Billy's humility. Adam corrected Ashland's assumption and said, "No. Knowing when to fold." Victor recalled that Billy was a punk that always played the wrong hand and never knew to quit when he was ahead. Adam said he couldn't understand why they'd invest time to ruin ChancComm and scoop it up on the cheap just to embarrass Billy. Victor explained that Billy had long been a pain in his side, so he enjoyed watching him dangle in the wind.

Ashland told Victor and Adam that he'd spoken to Lily, who'd been unaware that Billy had approached Victor with his proposal. Ashland said Lily believed he'd been used as a weapon to launch an attack that was wholly based on Victor and Adam's animosity toward Billy. Adam told Ashland that he'd been his own best weapon. Ashland replied, "Exactly. This is personal for all of us, but I've already gotten what I want -- the pleasure of seeing that jerk twist in the wind after trying to destroy me at my wedding. It's ironic, isn't it, that my reputation was saved by being dragged through the mud."

Ashland assured Victor and Billy that he'd repay their favors by going along with whatever they decided. Victor said they'd proceed as planned and make Billy think they'd accepted his offer, call a temporary truce, and then let him have it. Adam added, "So, when Lily gives up or Jill orders the sale of ChancComm, we'll buy it at a deep discount." Victor gleefully said, "And Billy Boy Abbott won't know what hit him."

After Ashland left, Adam turned to Victor and asked, "When does Billy go down?" Victor suggested they let Billy dangle over the fire a while longer. Adam left when Victor received a phone call about Abby. Ashley was on the phone, reporting that she, Jack, and Victor's security team were on their way to Spain. Ashley assured Victor she was determined to see it through. Victor replied, "You'll do just fine, okay? I have every confidence in you." Ashley said her instincts were telling her that Abby had to be in Spain, so she'd find their daughter before anything happened. Victor told Ashley to be safe, and he assured her he'd do everything possible from his end, so their daughter could return home.

Victoria and Ashland surprise Billy and Lily with an offer

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria was stunned when Ashland informed her that Billy had offered to step down from his co-CEO position. She didn't know what to make of it, knowing how important ChancComm was to Billy. She wondered if Lily had pushed Billy to make the move, but Ashland mentioned his earlier conversation with Lily and doubted that she'd known what Billy had done at the time. Ashland shared that it was Victor and Adam's plan to wait for Billy to let his guard down. Ashland suddenly struggled for breath, and Victoria rushed to his side.

Victoria fetched Ashland some water, but he assured her that there was no cause for alarm. He recalled that the doctors had told him that the initial treatments he'd received in Peru might have rough side effects, and he assumed it was just a sign that the medication was doing its job. He swore he was feeling much better already, and he turned the topic back to Billy having to swallow a bitter pill. Victoria realized that Ashland was enjoying it, and he confirmed that he didn't feel bad for Billy after Billy had tried to sabotage their wedding.

Ashland thought that he would have taken great satisfaction in grinding Billy into dust if the events had unfolded a year earlier. He explained that he had higher priorities then, like focusing on getting stronger and improving his health so he could spend as much time with Victoria as possible. Ashland intended to let Victor and Adam have fun torturing Billy, but Victoria worried that would be a big mistake. Ashland cited her old urges to save her ex from himself, but she clarified that it was about what was best for Newman-Locke.

Victoria didn't want to get involved in the battle between Victor and Billy, but she recognized that Adam had an opening to take advantage of the situation, and she expected him to run with it. Ashland argued that the Newmans' plan had gotten him out from under a blackmail threat that had plagued him for decades. Victoria countered that Ashland was the one who'd taken all the risks by allowing the story about the fraudulent will to get out, and any leverage Victor and Adam had against ChancComm was all due to Ashland's lawsuit.

Victoria pressed to know why Newman Media stood to benefit the most when Ashland was taking all the risks and had all the leverage. She noted that a big chunk of ChancComm consisted of the division she'd sold them, and Victor had never supported her decision to sell it. She imagined that her father would be disappointed if she didn't try to get it back. "My adorably brilliant wife, I really do love the way your mind works," Ashland praised. Victoria grinned.

At home, Billy acknowledged that Lily was upset that he'd gone to Victor to step down without discussing it with her. She imagined that he'd known how she'd feel about it, and that was why he hadn't talked to her first. Billy expected that she would have talked him out of it, and he pointed out that the last thing he'd wanted to do was go to Victor with his tail between his legs. He insisted that he'd done it to protect her and ChancComm. Lily questioned whether he really thought he'd be able to make a graceful exit and still have everything turn out all right.

Billy reasoned that Victor respected Lily, and Victor wouldn't be as obsessed with going after ChancComm without Billy in the picture. Lily pointed out that it would be a huge win if Newman Media got ChancComm's assets at a bargain price, and she fretted that Billy cutting and running might only make things worse. Billy had a sick feeling that Victor and Adam had only made their opening moves. Lily lectured that they couldn't focus on what might happen, since they had to deal with the crisis at hand.

Lily griped that Billy had been so concerned with what the Newmans might do that he'd basically handed them the weapons to use against ChancComm. She loved that he was trying to protect her and their company, but she complained that he was also impulsive and didn't think about the consequences. Billy contended that it was why it was best that he remove himself from the situation, but Lily was afraid it would look like an admission of guilt. She suggested that they talk with their lawyers, weigh their options, and work together as team -- if he was capable of doing that.

There was a knock at the door, and Billy invited Victoria and Ashland in. Ashland complimented the place and remarked that it was a shame they hadn't gotten together sooner under more pleasant circumstances. Ashland imagined how things might have been with their blended family if they'd all tried to get along. Billy mentioned that he'd been trying to get in touch with Victoria for a while. Victoria pointed out that she'd sent a text message to tell him how disgusted she'd been after ChancComm had run its garbage article.

Victoria ranted that she'd sold Billy her media division, and he'd used it as a weapon against her and her husband. Billy defended that he'd never authorized the article's release, but Victoria shot back that he'd authorized writing it. Billy surmised that Victoria was either in on the scheme or had found a way to justify it. Ashland proclaimed that they'd heard about Billy's offer to step down as co-CEO to protect Lily and ChancComm, and he compared it to his own desire to protect his company and the woman he loved by keeping Gaines's accusations quiet.

Ashland pondered whether it was possible that Billy felt regret about his thoughtless behavior, and Billy asked if Ashland and Victoria were there seeking an apology. Ashland announced that they were there to make Billy and Lily an offer. Billy doubted that Ashland and Victoria wanted to do him and Lily any favors, since the newlyweds had aligned themselves with the Newmans to set ChancComm up. Ashland refused to allow Billy to play the victim, since Ashland merely defended himself, his wife, and his company from Billy's attacks. Billy recounted that he'd given his word that he would never do anything to hurt the mother of his kids or Ashland personally, and he'd only used information they all knew was true for leverage.

Ashland maintained that Billy's actions had forced his hand, and the situation had reversed itself because Billy and Lily had become the ones defending their credibility and integrity. Ashland questioned whether Billy was willing to trust the Newmans. Victoria lectured that it had been a waste of time for Billy to go to her father when Ashland was the one who could cancel the lawsuit. Ashland insinuated that he could keep it in the news feeds as long as he wished, but he preferred a swift and final resolution. Ashland added that Victor and Adam wanted to watch Billy flail in the wind while ChancComm's value plummeted.

Ashland declared that he and Victoria were there to make Billy, Lily, and Jill a lucrative offer for all parties involved, since they wanted to buy ChancComm, make it part of Newman-Locke, and keep Lily on as CEO with full autonomy. Billy was outraged that Victoria would go along with Ashland's plan to exploit the damage Victor and Adam had done by kicking Billy out of the company. Ashland taunted that Billy was always slow to catch on, since it had been Victoria's idea.

Victoria reminded Billy how she'd desperately begged him to leave her and Ashland alone. She'd thought Billy would do the right thing after he'd deleted the video in Italy, but he'd gone after them the minute he'd gotten back. Billy maintained that he'd never intended to release the information about Ashland. Victoria asserted that Billy couldn't handle the responsibility of having that kind of power in his hands, but she was willing to give Lily a chance. Lily asked why she'd want to work for Victoria and Ashland, especially when he was known to be as ruthless as Victor and Adam.

Ashland responded that he'd have no active position in managing the company, and Victoria stressed that Lily would have complete autonomy. Victoria pointed out that Newman-Locke owned other media properties that could be folded into Lily's division, and Ashland anticipated that Lily would be running a company much larger and more influential than just ChancComm. Victoria contended that seeing ChancComm run into the ground was in neither of their interests, nor did they want to stand by and watch Adam take it over.

Lily realized that Victoria was still trying to protect Billy. Victoria reiterated that she couldn't stand the idea of Adam besting either of them, and she wanted a quick and peaceful resolution to the lawsuit because that would be best for the kids. Billy angrily questioned whether it had been for the good of the children for Victoria to go along with the lawsuit, knowing ChancComm had been hacked. Victoria suspected that Billy and Lily needed time to talk over the decision, even though their choices were limited. Victoria and Ashland left.

Billy groaned that ChancComm was the rope in a tug-of-war between Newman-Locke and Newman Media. Lily contemplated whether Victoria was trying to drive a wedge between them. Billy genuinely believed Victoria and Ashland had meant what they'd said about Lily, and he thought the company would thrive under Lily's command without his baggage. Lily recognized that Billy's intentions had been good when he'd gone to Victor, but she doubted Victor could get Ashland to drop the lawsuit.

Billy incredulously asked if Lily was thinking about giving up, but Lily thought it was up to Jill. Lily stated that what mattered to her was where she and Billy stood, since he couldn't keep making unilateral decisions on things they should decide together. Billy said he was prepared to walk away from the company, but he wouldn't be able to stand it if things changed between them personally. She assured him that they were good. She kissed him and stepped out of the room.

Victoria and Ashland returned to her office, and he noted that she'd been quiet on the way there. She admitted that she couldn't stop thinking about how the situation might impact Johnny and Katie, and she vowed to protect them from the fallout. She considered sending them to boarding school until the end of the school year, since she didn't want them to witness their father's public humiliation. Ashland imagined that it wouldn't be easy for her, either.

Victoria insisted that her concern was purely about the kids, and she had no intention of rushing to save Billy because he only resented it when she tried. She worried that the kids had been scared and confused the last time Billy's life had fallen apart, and her instincts told her that she needed to protect them. Victoria figured that Jill would be there for Billy, and Jill would eventually find him a position that he couldn't use as a weapon. Ashland supported whatever decision Victoria made.

Ashland pointed out that it might be a good thing the for the kids to be out of the house if his condition worsened. Victoria confessed that she'd thought the same thing, and she saw it as an opportunity for the children to gain some independence. Ashland wondered if Billy would buy into it when he'd be unemployed and wanting to spend all his extra time with his kids. "You let me manage Billy," Victoria firmly replied.

Billy sat alone at the bar at Society, drinking. Meanwhile, Lily phoned Jill and left a message to call her back, since they needed to discuss the situation at ChancComm.

At Devon's penthouse, Elena determined that Dominic had a heat rash, and she instructed Devon to pick up ointment at a pharmacy. Devon said he appreciated her stopping by, and he fawned over the baby, who gurgled happily. She remarked that it was nice to see him like that. Elena reflected back on when she'd first met Devon, who had been devastated after losing Hilary and their child. Elena recognized that they couldn't be replaced by anyone else, but it seemed like a lot of healing had taken place.

Devon remembered not believing it when everyone had told him that things would get better in time, but they'd been right. He swore he'd always be grateful to Elena for helping him get through his grief, and he empathized with the pain Abby was feeling. Elena considered Abby lucky to have Devon, and he pledged to help with Dominic as long as needed. Amanda returned home and asked if everything was okay. Devon reported that he'd asked Elena there to check on Dominic, but the baby was doing just fine. Amanda announced that she had news -- the jury was ready to give the verdict in Sutton's trial.

After Elena left, Amanda called Imani to tell her to get to the courthouse as soon as she could, and she said she understood why Naya didn't want to be there. After she hung up, Devon indicated that he'd let the nanny know he'd be gone for a while. Amanda worried that the jury had decided to let Sutton go. Devon encouraged her to stay positive, since even if that happened, she'd simply find a new way to find Sutton accountable, because she didn't quit. Amanda gushed that he always knew exactly what she needed to hear, and she was glad he was going with her. He swore there was nowhere else he'd rather be, and they headed out.

At Society, Sally informed Chloe that Adam had told her that he wanted to go ahead with the video project with her hosting, and he'd asked them to put together a budget proposal like he'd "wanted it yesterday." Chloe anticipated that they'd have to put in a lot of overtime to get it up and running, and she thought that they should showcase Sally's expertise and insights instead of interviewing other designers. Sally chirped that it worked for her -- especially since she'd given up any semblance of a personal life. Sally confirmed that she'd taken Chloe's advice to back off Adam as a romantic option, and she'd told him as much.

Chloe scoffed at the idea that Sally would be able to use reverse psychology to get Adam to chase her, but Sally insisted that she wasn't playing games. Sally added that Adam had drawn a line in the sand, and she wanted to respect his wishes. Sally referred to Chloe's warning that it would be courting disaster if Sally went near Adam once Chelsea returned, and she resolved not to do it. Chloe remained skeptical, but Sally swore she wouldn't jeopardize the opportunity by pushing something in her personal life that wasn't meant to be. Sally envisioned that with Chloe's leadership and Adam's deep pockets, Newman Fashion would be fabulous.

Elena ran into Mariah on the Crimson Lights patio, and Mariah assumed from Elena's scrubs that she was returning home from work. Elena shared that Devon had asked her to make a pit stop to check on Dominic, and Mariah panicked. Elena assured her that there was no reason for alarm, since the baby just had a heat rash. Elena commented that she often saw overprotectiveness with first-time parents, quickly adding that it was just a figure of speech because Devon had never referred to himself as Dominic's parent. Mariah figured she couldn't blame him if he did, since he was the biological father.

Mariah was sure Abby would be happy for Devon to step into a fatherly role with Chance gone, and Devon would do an amazing job. Elena asked how Mariah was doing, and Mariah brightly replied that she was great. Mariah recognized that everyone had been worried about her since the kidnapping, but she figured that she'd just needed time to reacclimate herself and get back to normal. Elena wondered if Mariah had spoken with a counselor. Mariah reasoned that her mom was a therapist, so no appointment was needed, and she was feeling like her old self again.

At Society, Imani asked Amanda if Devon would be joining them. Amanda explained that he'd needed to take care of some things at home, and she'd wanted to speak privately about Imani's feelings about the verdict. Imani swore that she'd wanted justice, but she was having a hard time processing that her grandfather was a convicted felon after she'd grown up idolizing him. She guessed that Amanda was in a mood to celebrate.

Amanda sympathized that it was difficult for Imani, but Sutton was someone very different for Amanda. Amanda considered him the man who'd excluded her and her twin from the family and robbed them of the chance to know their father, and she felt he was finally getting what he deserved. Imani expected to be just as happy once she was over the shock, and she wondered what kind of sentence he'd get. Amanda was more interested in knowing what was next for their family.

Imani revealed that Naya was considering moving to Genoa City. Amanda blurted out that she would love that, but Imani warned that Naya would be in their faces, micromanaging their lives. Amanda marveled that she'd never experienced anything like that before, and it sounded kind of wonderful. Imani cautioned that Naya would start nagging Amanda about having kids, and Amanda shared that there was a baby at her place if their mother wanted a fix.

Meanwhile, Devon was completely immersed in taking care of Dominic. He fed the baby, played peek-a-boo, and took photos to send to Dominic's grandparents. Devon handled business calls while playing with Dominic and soothed him when he cried. Later, Amanda returned home and smiled when she found Devon asleep on the couch with the baby in his arms.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon told Phyllis she was getting things organized for the annual tradition of feeding the homeless and the lonely on Thanksgiving. Phyllis offered to help. Nick arrived. He told Sharon he would send a couple of vans to the coffeehouse, with seniors from New Hope, who didn't have families to spend the holidays with. Sharon said that no one should be alone on Thanksgiving.

Nick told Sharon that Noah, Faith, and Christian were on their way to help. He said Christian was taking his role as a volunteer very seriously. Nick hoped it would become a family tradition with him. Sharon was delighted.

After Phyllis saw how easily Nick and Sharon communicated, Nick and Phyllis wished each other a happy Thanksgiving. Phyllis said there was a problem at the hotel only she could fix, and she left. On her way out, Phyllis bumped into Billy. She assumed Billy would be spending his day fixing the mess he'd made at ChancComm. Phyllis said she'd read the article about Ashland and the embarrassing retraction. Billy admitted it had been a rough week; however, all the chaos and drama had to take a backseat, because it was Thanksgiving, and it was all about Lily and the kids.

Phyllis said she could only imagine how Billy's negotiations about the kids had gone with Ashland and Victoria. Billy admitted it hadn't been stress-free, but everyone was trying to be fair. He and Lily were making sure the kids weren't affected by what had happened. They deserved as much love and family vibe as they could get; everyone did. He wished Phyllis a happy Thanksgiving and left.

When Phyllis arrived at the Grand Phoenix, she grimaced when Gloria greeted her. Gloria said it was a glorious day, and she felt as if she was glowing after her time at the spa. She felt absolutely transformed, like a golden goddess. Gloria gloated that JCV was doing phenomenally well under her charge.

Phyllis told Gloria she was paying her staff extra for working on a holiday, and they would leave early to spend time with their families. Phyllis asked if Gloria would be spending Thanksgiving with Lauren and Michael. Gloria said she would be spending it with Kevin and Chloe, since Michael and Lauren wanted to spend the time with Fenn. Gloria asked if Phyllis would be alone. Phyllis claimed she wouldn't be because she was working.

Phyllis went through the day, wishing her patrons a happy Thanksgiving and reminding them that family was what they were all about at the Grand Phoenix.

In her suite, Phyllis grabbed a bag of potato chips. She called Summer to wish her, Kyle, and Harrison a happy Thanksgiving, and then she called Daniel, and told him she would see him and Lucy soon. She told Daniel she was doing great and that she loved him.

After Phyllis ended her call, she went to bed. She fell asleep. There was a pounding on her door. Gloria burst into the suite, wearing a golden hat and glasses, and a black and gold feather boa. She told Phyllis to call her "Golden Glo." She told Phyllis to get dressed because Phyllis had places to be. Phyllis stated she wasn't going anywhere with Gloria, but Gloria said if Phyllis wanted to turn her Thanksgiving around, Phyllis was leaving.

Phyllis told Gloria she had plans, but Gloria found the remote. Phyllis had been watching true crime stories. Gloria said it was hardly the way to usher in the holiday season. Phyllis told Gloria to leave, or she would wind up being a victim of a true crime. Gloria threatened to choose something for Phyllis to wear if Phyllis didn't get dressed. Phyllis asked where they were going. Gloria claimed she was offering Phyllis a do-over.

Gloria clapped her hands twice, and Phyllis was suddenly at the coffeehouse, dressed in a pumpkin-colored blouse and leather skirt. The coffeehouse appeared empty. Sharon walked in grumbling that they could have used Phyllis' help earlier. Sharon wondered if Phyllis thought that Sharon had bought Phyllis' excuse. Phyllis told Sharon she wanted to help, but Sharon appeared to ignore Phyllis.

Phyllis realized it was her dream, and people would say and do anything she wanted them to do.

Sharon turned and sweetly said she was happy Phyllis had returned. She claimed that Phyllis was one of the people she was most grateful for that year. Phyllis asked why Sharon was grateful for her.

Sharon told Phyllis she hadn't forgotten Phyllis' support and kindness during Sharon's cancer treatments. She said it had been bigger than any other issues they'd had in the past. Sharon said Phyllis had taken all the responsibility for all their warring in the past. Sharon admitted she'd been responsible for all their missteps, not Phyllis.

Phyllis asked if Sharon really believed that. Sharon readily admitted she did. Sharon said she'd been rude the previous day. She'd been out of line, probing Phyllis about her breakup with Nick and her relationship with Jack. Sharon stated it wasn't time for her to be honest.

Sharon knew that Phyllis had a million other places she needed to be, but she asked if Phyllis could spare a little time to feed the hungry, since Thanksgiving was about giving. Sharon felt that she and Phyllis might settle a few old wounds during that time. Phyllis agreed to help.

Phyllis stood behind the counter and filled plates as the homeless passed through. She offered up second helpings to those who were there. The guests applauded, and Phyllis claimed she felt the love. Gloria appeared and said, "Next stop." Phyllis told Gloria to buzz off because she was enjoying feeding the homeless, but Gloria transported Phyllis again.

Dressed in a sequined silver dress, Phyllis landed at the Newmans'. She asked why she was in the belly of the beast. Nikki and Victor entered. They each held a carving knife and fork. They told Phyllis they had been waiting for her. Phyllis stated she hadn't arrived there of her own volition. They didn't care how she'd gotten there; they were happy she'd arrived in time to carve the turkey.

Victor and Nikki put down the carving utensils and said Phyllis had the honor of carving the turkey. Nick arrived. He was happy that Phyllis had finally arrived. Phyllis said it made no sense that everyone was being nice to her, since she despised all of them, and they despised her. Phyllis was about to leave, but Victor and Nikki said they wanted her to stay.

Nick told Phyllis that even though they weren't a couple anymore, they were Summer's parents, and they were friends. Nick said he owed Phyllis a huge thank-you, and Thanksgiving was the perfect time to do that. Phyllis asked why Nick was thanking her. Nick said he'd taken her advice about staying out of his family's drama. Since he'd taken her advice, some amazing things had happened -- Adam had finally left town, Victoria had forgiven him, he and Victoria were closer than ever, and Victor had finally accepted him for who he was and the choices he made. Victor crowed that he was "so proud" of Nick.

Nick told Phyllis he should have listened to her from the beginning. Nikki said they were all grateful to Phyllis for putting up with their family for all those years and for always being the voice of reason when they had stubbornly refused to listen. Phyllis suggested they carve the turkey and celebrate.

With wine in hand, Phyllis regaled the Newmans with funny stories. Phyllis claimed it had been the best Thanksgiving she'd ever spent with them and said it was nice to have that peace among them. Phyllis asked why it had taken them so long to get there. Nikki claimed there was no need to get into that because there were times when they had been less pleased with Phyllis. Nikki mentioned the many times Phyllis had broken Nick's heart and the time that Phyllis had turned on her and Victoria during the J.T. murder investigation. Phyllis claimed they didn't have to go there. Nikki agreed.

Nikki told Phyllis they were grateful for the guidance Phyllis had given Nick because it had saved their family. They were finally united and happy. They had Phyllis and her sage wisdom to thank for that. Nikki said she and Victor had stopped meddling, and everything was copacetic with the Newmans. Victor proposed a toast to Phyllis. Phyllis said, "Three cheers for Phyllis." Everyone cheered.

Suddenly, Phyllis had been transported again. She appeared at Society, wearing a sequined, deep red dress, and she stood in the foyer. She heard Traci say that they were "so happy" for Jack, because he'd been lonely for some time. Ashley said his love life had taken some hard lefts lately. Traci claimed Jack had found love again, but she wondered who would have thought it would have been with "her." Jack claimed no one was more surprised than he. He admitted he'd never been happier.

Ashley claimed that the past could become the present when one reunited with a former lover. It could be magical. Jack claimed it had been magical, and it would continue. Jack claimed that she was spontaneous, exciting, and unpredictable. Ashley said she was worth it.

Phyllis appeared confused. She muttered that they were talking about her, but she and Jack hadn't reunited. She also knew that if they had, Jack's sisters wouldn't be that happy about it. Phyllis heard Jack say that she'd never been Ashley and Traci's favorite, but he thanked them for their kindness and generosity. He believed it would work "this time." Traci said they wanted that for him. Ashley asked where "she" was. Jack claimed she was there. Phyllis watched in shock as Jack lovingly embraced Gloria.

Phyllis heard Ashley say that that incredible woman had put a smile back on Jack's face. Traci claimed anyone who made Jack happy also made her and Ashley happy. Jack claimed that Gloria had given him a whole new appreciation for life, and he was grateful she'd been willing to take him back. Gloria saw Phyllis beckon to her. Gloria excused herself and joined Phyllis in the foyer.

Phyllis protested that Gloria had turned out to be quite the godmother. Phyllis called her the "Golden Ghoul." Gloria claimed it was Phyllis' fault that Jack was with her. Phyllis' subconscious told Phyllis that she was intimidated by Gloria because, deep down, Phyllis knew Gloria held the key to Jack's heart. Gloria was happy she didn't have to live inside Phyllis' head on a full-time basis.

Phyllis told Gloria that her dream was a mash-up of irrational incidents, like the Abbotts having Thanksgiving dinner at Society instead of their home, and Jack being in love with Gloria while his sisters supported it. That would never happen. Gloria reminded Phyllis it was happening right before her eyes. Phyllis claimed she would put a stop to it.

Phyllis marched to the Abbott table and announced that when they'd spoken of Jack's great love of his life returning, they had been talking about her, not Gloria. Phyllis tried to sit down, but everyone rebelled. Ashley said there was no room at the table for Phyllis. Jack suggested that it was Thanksgiving, and maybe they could find room for Phyllis at the table. Ashley stated that Phyllis shouldn't be there. She asked if Jack had forgotten how many times Phyllis had broken his heart. Traci reminded Jack that Phyllis had cheated on him with his brother, Billy.

Phyllis claimed that had been a mistake. She asked if they wanted Gloria with Jack rather than her. Ashley and Traci agreed they preferred Gloria. Phyllis didn't understand what had happened. Her dream had been going so well, but suddenly, everything had changed.

Ashley told Jack she was excited about the meal. She claimed it was fun to break with family tradition once in a while. Jack said he was considering asking Gloria to return to Jabot. Ashley and Traci loved that idea, and they gushed how Gloria always had such good business sense. Phyllis disagreed and said Gloria was a fraud and a liar, she stole things, and she was a grifter. Ignoring Phyllis, Jack asked if anyone wanted wine.

Phyllis returned to the foyer, and Billy was there. Phyllis asked why he was there when he'd said he was going home to Lily. Billy said he wasn't sure because it was Phyllis' dream. Billy felt it was a good time to apologize for the way he'd screwed things up between her and Jack. He knew it was one of the many reasons Phyllis didn't like him. Billy claimed they'd done good things while they'd been together, like exposing Sally Spectra and Tara Locke. Phyllis admitted they worked well together when their interests dovetailed.

Phyllis told Billy they weren't going to rehash the past because they didn't want to hurt Jack again. Phyllis claimed her dream had been great, but the dream had fallen apart with the Abbotts. Billy felt it might be her guilt, since she'd exiled herself from Thanksgiving, believing she deserved to be alone. Phyllis claimed she'd been working. Billy said she should have been spending time with Summer and Daniel. He knew how much her kids mattered to her and that fighting for her kids was second nature to her. Phyllis lamented that her kids were so far away. Billy knew that Phyllis missed Nick and everything they'd had, but it was obvious she missed Jack more.

Phyllis told Billy that Jack was in Spain with Ashley. Billy reminded Phyllis that Jack was in Spain, fighting for Abby, because, like Phyllis, when it came to family, Jack was all in. When it came to love, Jack was relentless, and that included Phyllis. Phyllis stated that Jack was amazing. Billy said Phyllis deserved love, whether she wanted to admit it or not.

Phyllis stated that Billy hadn't been able to wait to toss her aside after she'd slept with Nick. Billy felt it had all worked out the way it had been meant to be. Billy felt that things between him and Phyllis had needed to blow up because he was where he belonged. Billy claimed that Jack brought out the best in Phyllis; she was more honest and less defensive, and she didn't lash out as much when she was with Jack. Phyllis never questioned Jack's advice or his agenda. She liked who she was when she was with Jack, until the guilt reared its ugly head and ruined things.

Phyllis asked Billy how she would go about it if she wanted to reunite with Jack, because she didn't want to blow things up. Billy said if he was Phyllis... poof, Gloria appeared, and said it was time to move on. Frantic, Phyllis asked Billy to finish what he was saying. Gloria told Billy that Sleeping Beauty needed her rest, but Phyllis insisted that Billy finish what he'd been about to tell her. Billy left. Phyllis was about to follow him, but Gloria stopped her and snapped her fingers. They were back in Phyllis' suite.

Phyllis told Gloria they had to go back to Society because she had to talk to Billy. He'd been about to tell her what she needed to do next with her life. Gloria said no, and she claimed she'd been Phyllis' best choice as a confidante, because she would give Phyllis the truth. Gloria said she had a deep well of experience and wisdom to draw upon. Phyllis claimed she'd chosen Gloria because Phyllis hated herself and loved torture.

Gloria asked why Billy had the answers Phyllis had been looking for. Phyllis claimed that she and Billy were similar, in that they were both reckless and wild. Billy had figured out how to remain a screw-up and still be with the person he loved, and she hadn't. Phyllis begged Gloria to take her back to Billy.

Suddenly, Phyllis was back in bed and asleep when there was a pounding on Phyllis' door. Phyllis sat up and figured it was Gloria, but when she opened the door, it was Thomas from room service with her Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings. Phyllis claimed she hadn't ordered it. Thomas said someone had. Phyllis realized her dream had ended. She smiled and told Thomas to go home to be with his family for Thanksgiving.

Phyllis received a video call from Jack. He was on the jet. He hoped the food was to her liking. Almost in tears, Phyllis couldn't believe Jack had done that for her. She admitted that at first, she'd thought the meal was part of a strange dream she'd had, but then it smelled delicious, and dreams didn't come with aromas. Jack promised it wasn't a dream. He hoped it tasted as good as it smelled.

Jack told Phyllis that he and Ashley had just landed in Spain. However, it was late, and they would begin their search for Abby in the morning. Jack said he had extra time, and he wanted to know if he and Phyllis could have Thanksgiving dinner together. He showed Phyllis his plate and explained that it hadn't been easy to get his turkey and stuffing onto the jet, but he'd made it happen. Jack said if he'd been at home, he would have invited Phyllis to the family dinner.

Jack told Phyllis that the staff had told him she'd had a very busy day, and she hadn't eaten before going to her suite. He wanted to have a special "friendsgiving." Phyllis claimed it was spectacular. She thanked Jack, and while on video chat, they had their Thanksgiving meal together.
