Rowan's character dies in the first episode of the show titled “Wednesday's Child Is Full of Woe”. His death plays an important part in the plot of the show. Marilyn Thornhill
Marilyn Thornhill or Laurel Gates, played by Christina Ricci, is one of the main villains in the show. She joins Nevermore Academy as the botany professor and dorm mother of Enid and Wednesday. She is hiding her true identity and portrayed as a harmless teacher. She is Garrett's younger sister who had come to take revenge. In the final episode of Wednesday, Marilyn's true identity is revealed as she killed principal Weems. After knowing the truth about Laurel, Wednesday spoils her plans. Wednesday, Enid, and their friends get together to defeat her, and in the end Laurel is left powerless and helpless. Many are speculating that she might not be dead as it is not shown clearly in the finale.
Dr. Valerie Kinbott
Dr. Valerie Kinbott, played by Riki Lindhome, is one of the supporting characters on the show. She is the town therapist who treats both normies and outcasts of the Nevermore Academy. Wednesday suspects her of being the murderer but her suspicion ends when Dr. Kinbott is found dead. She died in the seventh episode titled “If You Don’t Woe Me By Now”, Valerie grew suspicious of Tyler Gaplin, one of her patients. Tyler is the real culprit, he is a Hyde who is controlled by Marilyn Thornhill and by her order, he also killed Valerie Kinbott.
