Wednesday is a popular American show and its first season was released on November 23, 2022, on Netflix. It is one of the most-watched shows on Netflix. The show became popular among the youth because of the revival of the iconic pop-culture character Wednesday Addams and its gothic aesthetics. The story revolves around the events that take place when Wednesday takes admission at the Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts. The school introduces a variety of unique characters. One of them is Ajax Petropolus, a Gorgon student. He has the ability to turn people into stone and is the love interest of Enid Sinclair. Ajax’s character is played by Georgie Farmer. Georgie Farmer plays the role of Ajax Petropolus in the show. He is a British actor, born on May 26, 2002, in Leytonstone, London, England. He was interested in acting from a young age. He went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London to learn acting. At the age of 13, he did a play at the National Theatre. He made his TV debut with the show The Ministry of Curious Stuff in 2012. He made his film debut with a minor role in the 2018 film Ready Player One directed by Steven Spielberg.


In 2014, he starred in his first main role in Disney UK’s show The Evermoor Chronicles, which aired until 2017. Apart from that he has been a part of projects like Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018), Doctors (2019), Treadstone (2019), etc. In 2022, he gained worldwide popularity for his role as Ajax in Wednesday. In an interview with 1883 Magazine, he shared that he is grateful for the opportunity to work on the Netflix show and collaborate with director Tim Burton. He will be reprising his role as Ajax in Season 2 of Wednesday, which is set to be released in 2025.

No, Ajax does not die in the show. Ajax is a gorgon and a member of the Nightshade Society. In episode 3, titled “Friend or Woe,” Enid asks him out during volunteer work and expresses her feelings for him. She asked him to hang out with her behind the greenhouse in the evening and he agreed. However, while taking a shower to get ready to meet her, he accidentally saw his reflection in the mirror and got turned into a stone. Enid gets hurt as she assumes that he ditched her.


In the 4th episode, titled “Woe What a Night”, Ajax confesses to Enid at the Rave’N dance that he didn’t ditch her and he was embarrassed to share that he accidentally turned himself into a stone and couldn’t come to their date. Both of them reconcile and kiss each other. In the finale episode, he helps Wednesday in chaining up Tyler with the help of the Nightshade members. When Enid wolfs out for the first time, he is the first one to comfort her and help her get back to school.
