What is Survivor about?
Survivor places a group of people in an isolated spot where they have to care for themselves by making food, a fire, and shelter. The competitors participate in tasks that test their mental skills, such as solving puzzles and endurance tests, or their physical skills, such as swimming and running, to receive rewards and immunity from elimination.
As the competitors are voted out by other players, the contestants are gradually removed from the game until there are only two or three left. After that, the eliminated competitors cast their votes for the victor. They receive the $1,000,000 ultimate prize ($2,000,000 in Winners at War) and are coined the "Sole Survivor" title.

The show has been very successful in the United States. Its first 11 seasons (competitions) ranked among the top 10 most-watched television seasons from 2000–01 to 2005–06.
