It's a Hard Knock Life for Liam: The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of April 7, 2025
Bold-and-beautiful
Joey Ellis
When I saw Liam fall like that I felt that little spark of hope that maybe he finally would be gone. Cruel, cruel writers to tease us that way! It's like when Ric lived on GH, nothing but a tease!

The Young and the Restless: Summer is out of Chances
Young-and-restless
Joey Ellis
I think Summer has her mother's self destructive tendancies in spades! Summer has all of Phyllis's impulse and very little of her long range thinking. She's always looking for something else even when it means blowing past what she already has. I'm still kind of stunned that Chance was actually better with Summer - still working through that one. But the saddest part is that Summer was actually better with Chance then she ever was with Kyle. At the end of the day, Summer has never really trusted Kyle when it has counted. Don't get me wrong, Kyle is in no way blameless in the Summer / Kyle pairing failure. But Summer has turned to Chance more for help when they were just friends then she ever did to Kyle when they were together. Even if Summer can pull Kyle away from Claire, and that's a big if considering how scary I still think Claire could be, I don't see it working for any amount of time. Because there's going to be collateral damage this time around that I doubt Summer see's just yet. Namely Harrison. Kyle is deeply involved with Claire and Harrison absolutely loves Claire. If Summer pulls her usual crap to get Kyle back, there's no way not to hurt the kid doing it. Because Summer isn't subtle, never has been. Unlike all the other back and forth with Kyle there's a kid in the mix and that changes all the rules. I don't believe for a instant that Summer grasps that fact though! So in my humble opinion; Summer made a massive mistake. Because she'll have no one to turn to when it blows up on her.... or even if it doesn't blow up on her. Because Kyle and Summer don't work. There issues are never fixed, just looked past. RIP Summer / Chance, the only pairing with Chance that wasn't brain rot inducing.

The Daily Y.A.P.P. for General Hospital, April 8: Crash-bang ridiculousness
General-hospital
Joey Ellis
First thing: yes, Kristina needs to be highly medicated. Secondly.... I'm kind of on Lucky's side here. The fact that there is no evidence now thanks to the ACME police force that is the cops of Port Charles, means that Lucky opening his mouth now does no good at all. I'm not exactly sold on Lucky and Elizabeth take number twenty either. I just want to see what happens when Jason finds out what Kristina did. On one hand, she could have killed Elizabeth which will make Jason fairly angry. On the bright side, Kristina also almost killed Ric too and I can't see Jason being upset at that at all.

(Un)Lucky brakes: General Hospital two scoops for the week of March 31, 2025

I feel like the people on the Titanic probably did: they saw the iceberg but didn't want to believe it was coming. I have the horrifying idea that GH is setting up Lucky and Kristina up as a couple! It's one of the few things that would have this make sense. Lucky is too much like Luke, he might say he wants the white picket fence, but what he wants is action and adventure and Kristina is so far gone she probably has pinged Lucky's radar. It's disturbing to think about but it makes sense. The fact that Lucky covered for Kristina will probably get him Sonny's stamp of approval!

(Un)Lucky brakes: General Hospital two scoops for the week of March 31, 2025

I wouldn't count on Lucky doing, 'the right thing'. Lucky's relationship with morality and the law are iffy on a good day! This wouldn't be the first time he's covered up something like this. The fact that he didn't turn her in immediately cinches it for me that he never will turn her in - especially when he was already emotional about Elizabeth being in the accident. If that didn't push him to turn Kristina in, I don't know what could now.

The Young and the Restless: Is Summer Done With Taking Chances?
Young-and-restless
Joey Ellis
It's kind of hilarious. As much as I don't really think about Chance at all. And I don't because he's so dull. The only time he's been worth a damn when he was with Summer. The punch line is that I think even less of the recasted version of Summer! But despite thier massive flaws, they actually cancel out most of thier bad points. The fact that Summer has pretty much kicked Chance to the curb for doing his damn job is kind of spot on for this version of Summer. Maybe if Chance finds a way to grovel in the correct way for Summer, she'll take him back.

We need new people period! It's called the Young & the Restless and we need some more younger talent on the show! I don't care what color any of the are. Diversity doesn't matter. Talent does.

The Young and the Restless : Are the Newman's Adult Kids Being Overlooked?
Young-and-restless
Joey Ellis
The problem with having a character like Victor Newman is that he's so dynamic and been so popular for so long, that the show has no idea how to do things without him now. Even when he's not front and center, the show seeems to revolve around him in some way. It's not a terrible thing considering that Eric Braeden is one of the best soap actors out there. But it will be a problem one day when he decides to stop playin the role!

General Hospital's Baby Drama — Who will tell Dante the truth about his son?
General-hospital
Joey Ellis
This is different! I actually am on Dante's side for the first time since after I found out he was a cop. I could - in theory - understand not telling Dante. His father is pretty much the godfather of Port Charles. Also the fact that Dante is a cop could potentially cause problems as well. The part that makes no sense is where no one told Ned. That's where it falls apart for me. The Quartermaine's money could solve a great deal of problems when it comes to security. Brook Lynn may have had trouble thinking clearly but Lois would have known better! Even if Brook Lynn was out of it, Lois knows what family means to kids. I hate defending Dante's right to know even this far! Even if Lois thought that Brook Lynn was somehow unfit to raise her own child, she knew Dante was (shudder). The ugly truth is: that baby didn't belong solely to Brook Lynn, the baby was also part of Dante too.
