I'm excited for the reveal of who Aristotle Dumas is, and by hints we've been getting online, it's looking like it'll be Cane Ashby. I'm not mad! --even though I had so hoped it was the long missing Phillip Chancellor, Chance's dad. Hopefully, he'll come back at some point, as the only true heir to Chancellor. I can completely understand why Phyllis is upset with Billy. I too, wanted them to make a huge success of Abbot Communications, all on their own. Now what? Alexander Dumas? Chadam is still boring. Still no sizzle in the Silly pairing either. If they're gonna keep Chadam together for a while, I would prefer Billy and Phyllis to hook back up. That leaves Sally single again. What will Adam do when he realizes Sally is once again, single? We all know he still loves her. He only went for Chelsea after Sally repeatedly told him there were no more chances for them. Will Sally find a hot romance elsewhere? Holden? That might test her friendship with Audra. I'm just glad we didn't have much of Summer's irritatingly transparent machinations last week. I love and hate the Alan/Martin story so much. Traci is one of my faves, and she's in for a world of hurt. On the other hand, I like how she saw all the clues and realized on her own, that she might be with someone dangerous. I'm glad she immediately called Jack to help her. I'm glad Jack believes her! What'll happen once Alan/Martin is lured back to GC by Jack? How will they trap him? Can't wait! How old is Christian the invisible son again? When will they bring Tara back? When will they bring Ashley back? After all, her sister's in troube, and Ashley had a horrible experience herself, with Martin. Can't for next week, and more soapy goodness!
Jack and Diane would be so irked by that. haha... I'm here for it. Courtney Hope is one of those rare actors who has chemistry with just about anyone she is paired with. I think an interesting story would be for her to hook up with Holden. That might actually test her friendship with Audra.
Chadam is still a bore. The writers look at the past chemistry of the chracters, when they had different actors playing them, rather than look at the chemistry of the current actors. Missy Egan had great chemistry with Michael Muhney and even more with Justin Hartley, when those actors played Adam. She just does NOT have it with Mark Grossman. Courtney Hope does. Adam and Sally had the insane passion, that he simply does not have anymore with Chelsea. It's. The. Actors. I cannot stand that it looks like Traci is in for a wild ride. UGH. On the other hand, this plot twist IS kind of excellent. lol. I hate it, I love it, I hate it... Summer is tedious in her relentless interferance in Clyle's life. What flimsy excuse will she think of next, to get between them? She thinks she's being stealth, but she's transparent as glass. So why doesn't Kyle see it? It's not like she didn't use the exact same M.O. to get between him and Lola... I'm enjoying the awkward interactions/bonding between Phyllis and Sharon. They've been through literal hell together, and THEY. NEED. EACH. OTHER. now, regardless of their past hatred. They cannot lean on anyone else. No one else understands.
Alan (Martin?) knows Sharon and all her mental difficultis, because he performed hypnotherapy on her at least twice that I remember. So they HAVE met. Lots of things were revealed in those sessions, including the fact that Sharon and Phyllis had conflicts - when Phyllis accused Sharon of running her off the road, Alan's hypnosis of Sharon and Phyllis's own memories eventually contradicated that. Chadam is a huge yawn. The red-hot passion Adam shared with Sally, is missing. It actually suspends belief STILL, that Adam & Chelsea slept together, after how hard Adam worked to win Sally back. I agree that Kyle and Claire are boring. She had sexy chemistry with Holden, and looks like they share the same literary tastes. They were "sparky." lol. Skyle should just get back together and get placed firmly on the back burner. It's gotten to the point that i can't even stand the sound of Summer's voice. With her mom now found, what new excuse will she think of, to come between Kyle and Claire? Eyeroll. I mean, if she wants drama, bring Tara back to rock her world. Tara's return is actually long overdue.
The whole incident of Adam and Chelsea sleeping together never made sense. There was no tension that would have led up to that. Adam pined over Sally when she was with Nick. He was devastated when they lost Ava. He fought hard to get her back and convince her to move in with him. It's not like he wasn't getting sex regularly. Normal people don't just sleep with an ex out of the blue because their child is suffering. This tired overdone narrative is nonsensical and insulting to the viewers. Trying to force toxic Chadam back together when the actors have zero chemistry, makes no sense.
Every time they bring the character of Taylor back, it's only to mentally abuse her, and then send her world-reknown ass back to some 3rd world country she's somehow "helping" with psychiatry. huh?
I too, am troubled by the fact that we never got proof Jordan died. That psycho has more lives than Sheila Carter. Victor's "security team" is as impotent as security in a mall. WTF is wrong with Tessa? It's too bad no one thought to ask Tessa what she ate or drank last. That would have been the first thing I'd have asked! Why didn't Mariah think of something like that, considering they're dealing with Ian? If they had Tessa's water bottle analyzed, they would have found the poison. I thought for sure they would do that. Instead they just have Tessa believing that she got an "asthma attack" out of the blue and Ian just happened to be there to "save her." Eye roll. Sally has been a good influence on Billy. I still wanted her to stay with Adam though. Next week's spoilers say "Chelsea takes a risk with Adam." Gag. Here we go again. So predictable. MG & MCE have zero chemistry as these characters. I'll be FFing their scenes. Next! I wonder what's up with Damian? So he's a wealthy entrepreneur but still hiding out from his mom? Kinda weird. I'm Interested to see how he'll react when he finds out Nate's his brother. I think Sally should leave Marchetti and she and Billy should start Spectra Fashions back up. That would be a gas.
This show has been unwatchable to me, for months now. I just come here for the recaps, and to see if i should start watching again. NOPE. lol. My biggest issue is exactly what you've mentioned. It's annoying and unrealistic that even after a COUP at their parents' legacy company, not a single child of Eric & Stephanie is ever around. I miss Felicia most of all. She was Stephanie's "wild child" and she never would have stood for the crap going on right now. Ridge is a mumbling imbecile.
Every time Summer sees Claire and Kyle together, her seething increases. She can't hide it from her brother -or Chance, for that matter. I think bringing back Tara to stir the already bubbling over pot, would be delicious soapiness. Billy & Sally are cute, but still lack that chemistry for me. Sally &... Holden? hmm... the double hotness factor is there, and now I'm trying to imagine if they'd have chemistry. haha... and it could cause some conflict with her pal Audra? Soapy! I too, was speculating about who the mysterious "Aristotle Dumas" is. I thought of Cane, I wanted it to be Tucker, and now after you mentioned him, i REALLY want it to be Phillip Chancellor. I think you're spot on in your theory regarding the double kidnapping of resident nutjobs and mortal enemies Phyllis & Sharon. I enjoy the idea of them being forced to team up to thwart Ian/Jordan. I also want Amy to stick around. I want to see what Damian's real deal is. I'm not feeling the chemistry between him & Lily (yet).
oh gosh, don't get me started on Tara... LOL. The true mother of Harrison, who loved her son, and never should have been separated from him. It's actually cruel...
