GH's Bryan Craig lands action-packed recurring role on Valor

General Hospital alum Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos) has joined the CW's revved-up military drama Valor.

General Hospital's Bryan Craig has had one hell of a year. Hot on the heels of winning a Daytime Emmy award for his intense work as Morgan Corinthos, the actor walked away from daytime and immediately landed a dark and brutal role in a film called Ride. And now he'll be kicking some major butt in the CW's Valor.

Deadline reports that the Florida native has been cast as a recurring character in the serialized military drama/conspiracy thriller that follows a group of elite U.S. Army helicopter pilots trained to perform clandestine international and domestic missions. The boundaries between military discipline and human desire are tested, starting with a failed mission involving one of the first female pilots in the unit, which ultimately leads to the uncovering of layers of personal and government/military secrets and a season-long plan to rescue a group of MIA soldiers.

Craig will play Adam Coogan, a Delta Force operator who's on the top-secret team to retrieve the American POWs, Sergeant Kam (W. Tr Davis) and Sergeant Hendrix (Mac Brandt). Matt Barr and Brian Letscher also star in the series penned by writer-musician Kyle Jarrow.

As for Craig's future with GH, the actor has said numerous times that he's open to a return as long as the schedule would allow him to take on other projects.

"The contracts just seem really binding right now," he told soapcentral.com. "I would... be open to going back to GH, but it's a scheduling thing. I have a few things coming up, and when you're under contract, it kind of takes up all your time. But I'm open to returning [to GH] if things could work out. So we'll see."

Watch for the premiere of Valor on Monday, October 9, 2017.
