Uh-oh. Contract talks between William deVry and General Hospital are reportedly at an impasse. The All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Port Charles vet joined General Hospital in 2013.
If you're a fan of "Julexis" -- the smooshed name given to General Hospital's Julian and Alexis -- you might want to sit down before reading the rest of this article. A setside source tells Soap Central that William deVry could very well have taped his final scenes on GH.
According to the insider, contract talks between deVry and the ABC soap have broken off. While there could still be some last-minute negotiations, at this time, it would seem that the scenes deVry taped before General Hospital's three-week summer break on June 30 will be his last.
"Nobody knew it was maybe his last day," Soap Opera Digest reports, citing their own inside source. "I think we all just assumed there was lots of story planned for 'Julexis.'"

Fans have wondered about deVry's future for some time. Earlier this year, Julian was presumed dead and many fans wondered if that would be the end of the actor's run on General Hospital.
At the time, deVry seemed to take his contract situation in stride. " You have to cross that bridge as the world unfolds before you -- that's all you can do in daytime," the actor told Soaps In Depth.
If true, deVry would be the latest cast cut ahead of Steve Burton's recently announced return to General Hospital. Last month, fans were shocked to learn that Rebecca (Hayden Barnes) had been let go.
It is also worth noting that deVry's contract talks are just the latest in a series of talks that have reportedly gone down to the wire. Most recently, Roger Howarth (Franco) and GH reached a deal on a new contract, but not before the actor had to be written out of the show.
The multi-soap vet deVry joined General Hospital in July 2013.
