Congratulations are in order for General Hospital's Julie Berman (ex-Lulu Spencer), who has been bumped up to series regular on Hulu's Casual.
General Hospital alum Julie Berman (ex-Lulu Spencer) no longer has a Casual relationship with her Hulu series.
Deadline reports that the actress, who recurred as Leia in season one of the comedy series, has been bumped up into the position of series regular for the show's second season.
Written by Zander Lehmann, Casual follows the story of a bachelor brother Alex (Tommy Dewey) and his newly divorced sister, Valerie (Michaela Watkins), who coach each other through the crazy world of online and offline dating while living under one roof and raising a teenager (Tara Lynne Barr). Berman's Leia is Valerie's promiscuous assistant who -- unintentionally vulgar and yet simultaneously oh-so-sweet -- offers Valerie a fresh perspective on what it means to be a sexual woman in 2016.
Berman, who won two Daytime Emmys for playing GH's Lulu from 2005 to 2013, also currently appears on Chicago Med.
