Ilene Kristen will reprise the role of Delia, and the actress is credited with being the reason another General Hospital star became involved in acting.
Ilene Kristen (Delia) will be making another appearance on General Hospital in the weeks ahead -- and one of the show's stars couldn't be happier. GH newcomer Michelle Stafford (Nina Clay) posted a photo of herself with Kristen.
"So this chick... The reason I'm an actress today y'all. I watched her on Ryan's Hope when I was young. It's the first time I was really taken and affected by an actress's performance," Stafford shared on Instagram. "I loved her and the show so much I got my sister and aunt and uncle hooked on it! When she left i was so upset I stopped watching...So today I shared the stage with Ilene Kristen. Still brilliant!! A true artist!!"
Kristen first reprised her Ryan's Hope role on GH back in October 2013 -- and Ryan's Hope fans lit up the Soap Central message boards with their excitement. It marked the first time that the actress had appeared as Delia since 1989 when the show ended its run on ABC. Kristen had previously appeared in the role on Ryan's Hope from 1975 to 1978, 1982 to 1983, and then again from 1986 through 1989.
