General Hospital actress Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) is celebrating 20 years with the ABC soap opera.
Today is a special day for General Hospital's two-time Emmy winner Nancy Lee Grahn because she's celebrating 20 years of playing Alexis Davis.
"It was 20 years ago today that we fell in love. Our relationship has been nothing short of miraculous," Grahn wrote on Facebook. "To have found each other was hard enough, to have stayed together for 20 years in Hollywood is a rarity, but to still love each other after all this time, especially after I opened a Twitter account, is just beyond imagination. I am one lucky Diva."The Illinois native, who also played One Life to Live's Beverly Wilkes and Santa Barbara's Julia Wainwright, joined the ABC soap as her legal eagle alter ego in 1996, an occasion which she has chosen to celebrate with fans via social media.
She went on to muse about how her milestone would be celebrated.

"I'm so excited about this anniversary...and about my presents. I can't wait to see the 40x80 photo of me hanging in the hallway outside of Frank [Valentini, GH's executive producer]'s office that you are giving me for an anniversary present, along with the life-size image of me that you had mosaic-ed into the brick underneath the General Hospital sign as you enter the studio. And thanks in advance for Maurice [Benard, Sonny Corinthos]'s parking space. It won't kill him to walk an extra 68 feet."

Grahn has also been celebrating with fans on Twitter, promising to answer anything fans might ask.
To celebrate the event, Soap Central created a special smooshed name hashtag on Twitter -- #Grahnspital. "Sounds contagious," Grahn replied with a laughing emoji, prompting a hashtag redo: #Generalexis.
