
Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, aka Ralph Fiennes, was born on December 22, 1962. He is an English actor, film producer, and director. He is widely regarded as one of the most popular and well-known British actors, having received numerous accolades, including a Tony and a BAFTA award. The now 62-year-old actor made his stage debut in 1985 but didn't hit the big screen until 1992 in Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights.

Ralph Fiennes was born in Ipswich, England to Mark Fiennes and Jennnifer Lash on December 22, 1962. His father, Mark, was a farmer and photographer who was best known for his architectural studies and the son of industrialist Maurice Fiennes and Slyvia Joan. Mark was educated at Eton College and he moved to Australia, New Zealand, and the United States before returning to England to become a farming tenant near Suffolk.
It was here he met and married Ralph Fiennes’ mother, Jennifer Lash, whose passion for the arts inspired him and he took up photography. Mark eventually became a renowned photographer and his work was featured across the National Gallery of Art, HarperCollins, and several others. Ralph Fiennes’ mother, Jennifer Lash, on the other hand, published her first novel at the age of 23.
She then published her second book in 1962, the year she got married to Mark Fiennes, and wrote four more novels between then and 1980. Her final novel was published posthumously in 1997, four years after she passed away in 1993.
