David Niven was a British actor born on 1 March 1910, in London, England. David Niven played the role of James Bond in Casino Royale (1967), directed by John Huston and Ken Hughes and produced by Charles K. Feldmen. It was a non-Eon production. David was also the choice of Ian Fleming for the James Bond role as David fit the role perfectly according to him. Casino Royale was not a typical James Bond film, it was more of a parody spy film. The movie was a spoof of the spy genre, and featured multiple actors playing variations of "James Bond," but Niven’s performance stood out for its charm and humor. 3. George Lazenby
George Robert Lazenby is an Australian actor born on 5 September 1939, in New South Wales, Australia. He played James Bond in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969). The film was directed by Peter R. Hunt and it is the only Bond film he directed. George Lazenby was chosen by Eon Productions to play James Bond after Sean Connery decided to retire from the role. George played James Bond only once and announced during the filming of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) that he would not play the role again. He showed Bond's emotional side, especially in the film’s romantic story and its sad ending, where Bond married Tracy (Diana Rigg) but loses her when she is killed.
