Report: Kassie DePaiva latest star to exit DAYS

Days of our Lives will no longer be all about Eve: portrayer Kassie DePaiva is reportedly the next actor leaving the NBC soap.

Hot on the heels of the news that Days of our Lives' Shawn Christian will soon be exiting his role as Dr. Daniel Jonas comes word that Kassie DePaiva will be exiting her role as love-to-hate Eve Donavan.

Serial Scoop reports that the actress, perhaps best known known for her Emmy-nominated role as One Life to Live's Blair Cramer, is the next star to exit the NBC soap. Due to the series' advanced filming schedule, DePaiva's Eve will remain on the canvas for the next couple of months. As fans already know, she'll be involved in heavy story with the character's ex, Eduardo (played by Santa Barbara and OLTL vet A Martinez, who debuts on Monday, September 21).

Eve's exit is said to be unrelated to the Necktie Killer storyline, which took the character's daughter, Paige (True O'Brien), and DePaiva's former OLTL co-star Melissa Archer (Serena) off the canvas.

DePaiva joined DAYS last year in the role of Shane Donovan's daughter, a role previously played by Charlotte Ross from 1987 to 1991. At this time, it's unclear whether DePaiva's departure from the show was her choice or part of the major cast cuts leading up to the series' 50th birthday. It's also unclear whether DePaiva's exit is the other major cast cut Serial Scoop hinted at in their Shawn Christian post.
