Now that Melissa Reeves is sticking around as DAYS's Jennifer Horton, the show's writers are making sure she has something to occupy her time. Jennifer's daughter, Abby, will be returning to town just in time for February Sweeps.
Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton's little girl is returning to Salem.
Soap Opera Digest reports that newcomer Kate Mansi has been cast as Abby Deveraux. This will mark the first daytime gig for Mansi. The actress previously appeared in a guest spot on the primetime series How I Met Your Mother.

It's been more than three years since Abby was last seen in town. Actress Ashley Benson appeared as Abby from November 2004 through May 2007. Benson has since gone on to star in ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars.
Mansi will debut February 16, 2011.
