The Bold and the Beautiful has trimmed its cast of two of its male stars. Brandon Beemer has confirmed that he's been taken off contract. Zack Conroy has also been downgraded to recurring.
The Bold and the Beautiful has cast off two of its male heartthrobs. Brandon Beemer (Owen Knight) and Zack Conroy (Oliver Jones) have been taken off contract with the CBS soap, but there's still hope for fans that don't want to see them disappear from their television screens.
Beemer, who joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in July 2008, broke the news to fans via Twitter, but also assured them he'd still be seen on-screen.
"B&B fans: I've been off contract for quite a few months now, but all is good... nothing to worry about. That can change any time," Beemer wrote. "I'm working this week at B&B on some really great stuff that I know you'll enjoy! Thanks for the kind words and support!"
Word of Beemer's downgrade from contract status first surfaced in May 2011. The actor's contract with the show expired in August 2011.
Conroy, meanwhile, joined B&B in January 2010 fresh off an Emmy-nominated run on Guiding Light.
There's been no indication if Conroy will be seen again in the future. Most of Conroy's on-screen family has already been written out of the show.
