Could Brandon Beemer be the next B&B star to drop to recurring status? According to a published report, it's possible. Beemer joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 2008.
Brandon Beemer's (Owen Knight) future on The Bold and the Beautiful is very much in question, according to a published report.
Citing a set source, Soaps In Depth reports that Beemer's contract with B&B expires in August -- and that the show has yet to step forward with a new offer.
While there are still several months left until Beemer's contract expires, networks will typically make their intentions known several months in advance to allow for negotiations. When a show doesn't step up early with a new contract off, it's usually not a good sign.
Over the past year, B&B has seen several of its top talents drop to recurring status. In May 2010, long-time B&B vet Winsor Harmon (Thorne Forrester) was dropped to recurring status. In December 2010, Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester) was taken off contract. In February, Emmy winner Sarah Brown (Agnes Jones) was placed on recurring, and next month another Emmy winner, Rick Hearst (Whip Jones), will also join the ranks of recurring players.
Beemer joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in July 2008. Before that Beemer appeared for two years on Days of our Lives as Shawn Douglas Brady, where he met his current girlfriend, Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane).
Per its long-standing policy, The Bold and the Beautiful does not discuss contracts.
