Hillary B. Smith, One Life to Live's Nora Hanen, has offered her thoughts on Prospect Park's decision to abandon its plans to create an online network that would relaunch OLTL and All My Children. The actress thought the process was possible, and commiserates with fans.

One Life to Live star Hillary B. Smith (Nora Hanen) has issued the following statement regarding Prospect Park's decision to not move forward with production of OLTL and All My Children. The actress, who has played Nora since September 1992, confessed that she thought the online transition was "doable."

"I thought it was doable," Smith told Entertainment Weekly. "It was a noble attempt and I believe [Prospect Park] really wanted to do this. I think this was a very ambitious project for a company with no history of the technology. I do wish there had been more communication between the company and those who'd signed on. We were finding out a lot in the press."

Smith also revealed that she'd had a tentative deal in place that would have allowed her to continue her Emmy-winning role on with One Life to Live had it made the transition online.

"I want to be careful what I say right now. I am so sad for the fans," Smith added on Twitter. "I am so sad for all of us who were robbed of the 7 months to plan. Wish there had been more communication. This was not about AFTRA! The guilds and unions were talking. The endings were changed to accomodate the move. I wish they would have left us alone. So sad!!!"

In an interesting additional bit of information, Smith also revealed that several endings were taped for her character's story. She is unsure which will air. It remains unclear if -- or why -- other stories also taped additional endings.

Smith's co-star, Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) also issued a statement regarding Prospect Park's decision to scrap the online version of One Life to Live. To read her statement, click here.
