Born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Kensington, Maryland, Born spent two years at Boston University pursuing a degree in theater. His classmates included Alfre Woodard and Paul Reubens (a.k.a Pee Wee Herman). Further study includes training under Uta Hagen at the H.B. Studios.
Born's impressive credits include his recent role as Nick Rivers on The City, an Emmy-nominated portrayal of Robert Barr on Santa Barbara, his popular stint as Mitch Laurence on One Life to Live, and his role as Joe Novack on Ryan's Hope. Born and Fairchild also worked together in the cable television movie, The Haunting of Sarah Hardy.
A committed activist against illiteracy, Born devotes his spare time being a "book pal," reading to second and third graders of Manhattan's P.S. 11 elementary school.
