Liz (lizincinti) is a moderator on for all three ABC soaps on the Soap Central message board forums. She is a former recapper and a prolific blogger. She loves all soaps but her heart belongs to ABC. Her earliest memories are of watching General Hospital with her mother back in the days of Luke and Laura.

Previous Predictions
This is the first time that Liz has made predictions.

OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES

One Life to Live - The execution of Todd was chilling and something I've never before seen on daytime. Overall I think other soaps have much done better but these submissions were riveting. Every character played their role to perfection and the direction was outstanding. The suspense was unparalled especially when the worst happened and Todd was executed before John could show everyone that Margaret was very much alive.

OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR

Michael Park (Jack Snyder, ATWT) - I'm always partial to GH submissions but it was Genie who stole the scenes. The rest were interesting submissions but I believe Michael's was the most compelling.

OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS
Crystal Chappell (Olivia Spencer, GL) - Drama, drama, drama. The submissions had it all including some very uncomfortable moments such as when she admitted confessed to her true feelings for her own daughter.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR

Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing, GH) - This man could probably offer to sell me expired coupons and I'd buy them and ask for more. The submission scenes were Rick at his finest. Dastardly Ric essentially blaming his cancer stricken wife for the raunchy sex he had with her daughter in the home he shared with his family was absolutely revolting but oddly mesmerizing.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Genie Francis (Laura Spencer, GH) - Sentimental favorite. I absolutely adore Genie Francis and was so excited about her return. I wasn't disappointed. She seamlessly fit back into the fabric of her family and her performance in every scene was from the heart. Watching her slip back into her catatonic state was heart breaking and so well done that it made me miss her more after her departure. Go Genie!

OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTOR
Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan Randall, GL) - To tell you the truth it was impossible to pick here. All are very talented young actors. It came down to which submissions pulled at my heart strings the most. Tom's won.

OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS
Julie Marie Berman (Lulu Spencer, GH) - Another difficult category to call. I have several favorites including Leven Rambin (Lily Montgomery) but Julie has consistently been knocking it out of the ballpark because she's gotten some very juicy story. She also has managed to capture the essence of both of her soap parents and incorporated them into the character. Both submissions were powerful storylines.

OUTSTANDING WRITING IN A DRAMA SERIES
General Hospital. Ok, so I'm clearly partial to General Hospital since it's my favorite soap but I really do believe they've had some great writing. The 24-like hostage storyline and the musical beds over the Summer that continues to play out now are just a couple of the many reasons that I continue to tune into the show every day. [Editor's Note: the "24" storyline that played out is not eligible for Emmy consideration until next year.]
