Raymond Arthur MacDonnell
Ray was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and went to nearby Amherst College. He attended the Royal Academy in London as a Fulbright scholar.
He appeared as the popular character Philip Capice on The Edge of Night for nearly eight years. Ray's other television credits include
Studio One and
Armstrong Circle Theatre.
Ray starred on Broadway in
Mame, with both Angela Lansbury and Ann Miller, and in numerous off-Broadway productions.
