Alec Musser, known for playing All My Children's Del Henry, has died. The model-turned-actor was just 50.

All My Children alum Alec Musser (Del Henry) passed away on Friday, January 12, Musser's fiancée Paige Press announced Saturday in an Instagram story. Musser was 50.

"RIP to the love of my life," Press wrote of Musser in the post. "I will never stop loving you. My heart is broken."

A cause of death was not revealed.

Born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Connecticut, and San Diego, Musser graduated from the University of San Diego. An avid athlete all his life, he moved to the eastern Sierra mountains after college to work with the professional ski patrol at Mammoth Mountain, one of the largest ski resorts in North America. During the off season, he also worked as a lifeguard, and during his third season, he was approached by a modeling agent, which eventually led to his first modeling job with Abercrombie & Fitch. His additional modeling credits include Gianfrance Ferre, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Speedo, and Target.

While modeling, Musser started booking national commercials. It was at that time he auditioned for I Wanna Be a Soap Star. Musser won the second season of the SOAPnet reality competition and landed the role of Del Henry on ABC's All My Children. Musser made his first Pine Valley appearance on August 19, 2005, and remained with the soap through September 2007.

After AMC, Musser appeared on another ABC soap, the primetime drama Desperate Housewives, in 2011.

Comedian and actor Adam Sandler took to Instagram to mourn Musser's passing. Musser appeared in the 2010 film Grown Ups, which Sandler co-wrote and produced.

"I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man," Sandler wrote. "Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person."

Musser enjoyed traveling around the world to surf and ski. He also shared a love of riding motocross and mountain bikes, wakeboarding, photography, yoga, cooking, competing in triathlons, and free diving. Many of those passions were captured in photos on his Instagram account.

Addressing Musser directly in one of her Instagram post, Press wrote, "You were the best fiancée I could of ever asked for."
