Josh Duhamel to appear in animated series

Josh Duhamel is already an Emmy-winning soap star and a box office superstar. Now, the actor is adding another job to his already hyphenated resume. He will voice a role in a Disney Junior television series.

Josh Duhamel (Leo duPres) is headed back to television -- but you won't exactly see the Emmy-winning actor on-screen.

Duhamel has signed on to provide the voice of Captain Flynn in the second season of Disney Junior's animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. This won't be Duhamel's first animated appearance; in 2008, Duhamel provided voices for another Disney production, The Replacements.

Introduced to All My Children viewers as con artist Leo du Pres in 1999, Duhamel exited AMC in 2002 when Leo and his druglord mother, Vanessa Bennett, tumbled over a waterfall and were presumed dead. Earlier this month, Duhamel reprised his daytime role to help honor AMC before it ends its run on ABC in September.

Duhamel picked up a 2002 Outstanding Supporting Actor trophy at the Daytime Emmys. He was also nominated in the category in 2000 and 2001.
