Though rumors say the Y&R star will soon be soap-hopping, a show rep claims Michael's portrayer isn't going anywhere.
Hot on the heels of the recent rumor that Cady McClain will be exiting her role as The Young and the Restless' Kelly comes word that Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin) is leaving Genoa City as well. The latter, however, has officially been debunked.
According to Soap Opera Digest, word on the street has been LeBlanc will soon exit the CBS soap and join General Hospital as the new Kevin (formerly played by Anthony Starke and Jon Lindstrom). However, the publication received official word from a Y&R spokesperson who says, "No, that isn't true."
So where did such a seemingly out-of-left-field rumor come from?

One possibility for the rumor could be that LeBlanc's character, which he originated in 1991, is battling prostate cancer. Another could be he was seen mixing and mingling with the GH cast during this year's Daytime Emmy Awards -- though a Y&R insider reportedly pointed out the actor is still close friends with Billy Miller [ex-Billy Abbott; Jason Morgan, GH] and Michelle Stafford [ex-Phyllis Summers; Nina Clay, GH], which is where the confusion could have come in.
LeBlanc joined The Young and the Restless in 1991. This year he picked up his 11th Emmy nomination (and he has three win) for playing Michael.
