Zuleyka Silver learns from Audra Charles on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Zuleyka Silver plays Audra Charles, one of Genoa City’s sharpest and fiercest businesswomen.

In 2022, Silver joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Audra Charles. Her first appearance on-screen was on September 22, 2022.

Silver creates the fire behind Audra’s every word, but the actress says that she is the one who draws from Audra’s personality, not the other way around.

Who is Zuleyka Silver on The Young and the Restless?

Zuleyka Silver made her television debut in 2010 in the TV film The Strip. From there, she appeared in TV shows like The Mentalist, Touch, 90210, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Silver also appeared in Code Black and Hawaii Five-O and played Selena on Young Sheldon.

Silver may have looked familiar to some fans when she joined The Young and the Restless, as it was not her first appearance in a daytime serial. The actress played a model on Y&R’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.

Others may recognize Silver as part of a recurring comedy routine on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She played the role of Mrs. Guillermo for several episodes.

What Zuleyka Silver thinks of Audra Charles

In an interview in September with KCAL’s Suzanne Marques during Hispanic Heritage Month, Zuleyka Silver said playing Audra Charles on The Young and the Restless kept her on her toes.

“I love Audra so much. I never know what she’s going to do next,” Silver said. She added that Audra has taught her a lot about not being afraid to take up space. The actress appreciates how authentic Audra is and how she is not afraid to tell anyone about themselves.

Silver described Audra as an ambitious go-getter who stands up for what she believes in and isn’t afraid to take risks—qualities the actress loved about her character.

Silver said that she sometimes encourages herself by considering what Audra would do in a situation.

Who is Zuleyka Silver from The Young and the Restless?

Zuleyka Silver was born on August 2, 1991, in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Silver came to America when she was seven years old and grew up in Mid City, CA.

Silver was the seventh runner-up of the seventh season of Univsion’s Nuestra Belleza Latina. When she was 18, Silver competed in NuvoTV’s Model Latina 2009, a reality competition show in which aspiring models competed against one another in fashion and cultural challenges. Silver finished in third place.

The actress said in her KCAL interview with Suzanne Marques that she doesn’t feel she is 100% American or Mexican, but she feels both, depending on where she is.
