What to expect on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, things took an unexpected and dangerous turn when Victor (Eric Braeden) decided to take Ian (Ray Wise) under his control. Victor sent Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to the motel room to wait for Ian. He came in holding a rose but was about to find out that not only was his “sweetheart” not in the room waiting for him, but Michael told Ian that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had died earlier that evening.

Of course, Ian denied even knowing Jordan but his innocent act wasn’t working. Michael instructed Ian that he had been “invited” to the ranch. Ian tried to get out of it but realized it was an offer he couldn’t refuse when he opened the door to ask Michael to leave and found Victor’s security guard, Mortonson (John Rushing), waiting outside. Mortonson showed Ian his gun holster, implying he should do what he’s told. And that’s how Ian wound up back at the ranch.

Once there, Victor wanted Ian to sign a confession that Michael had drawn up, admitting to killing Heather (Vail Bloom), thereby exonerating Sharon (Sharon Case), but Ian insisted he was innocent. When Nick (Joshua Morrow) arrived and added pressure to the already tense room by accusing Ian of taking Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria. Ian felt the walls closing in on being caught for everything from helping Jordan escape to Heather’s murder to Tessa and Aria’s disappearance. Victor was threatening Ian that he was going to die that night, just like Jordan. Mortonson grabbed Ian roughly to bring him to his feet, but Ian managed to take Mortonson’s gun.

On Wednesday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Mortonson, Nick, Victor, and Michael can’t do anything with Ian pointing a gun at them. Realizing that he has the tables turned, and he’s the one in control of their fate now, Ian’s evil grin takes over his face.

Ian calls up the stairs to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who he assumes is upstairs sleeping. “Nikki! It’s Ian! Come on down! I don’t want you to miss a moment of what’s going to happen to your family!” he calls out in a sing-song voice as he smiles delightedly at the men in the living room.

Victor vows to stop Ian Ward at all costs, but it leads to a shocking turn of events. Who will survive the Ian vs. the Newmans showdown?
