On The Young and the Restless, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) recently had her world turned upside down. After moving back in with her boyfriend, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Sally began to suspect he wasn’t being honest with her.
Sally pleaded with Adam to come clean with her, but Adam kept a secret. One night, Billy Abbott showed up to confront Adam, and Sally learned that Adam had cheated with Billy’s girlfriend, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), while Adam and Chelsea had been out of town, supporting their son, who was in residential treatment for severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
After Billy’s revelation, Sally was finally able to get Adam to confirm the truth. In that conversation, she also got it out of him that he has love for Chelsea. While Adam has since reworded that admission, Sally had some truth bombs hit her.
Sally realizes that Chelsea knows Adam just as well as Sally does. Sally once believed that she was the only person who truly understood Adam and was the only woman who could see good in him. However, Sally now recognizes that Adam and Chelsea have a love for each other. Worse, this isn’t the first time that they have betrayed Billy. Considering Adam and Chelsea share a child, they will continue to be close for years. For all of those reasons, Sally has ended her relationship with Adam.
Where would Sally Spectra fit in on The Bold and the Beautiful?
There aren’t many romantic or storyline options for Sally in Genoa City, at least not in the foreseeable future. It would be natural for Sally and Billy to lean on one another as they deal with the betrayals they both experienced. Sally’s former flame Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is single, but he isn’t available, as he is focused on caring for his ex-wife Sharon.
However, Sally Spectra has always thought outside the box, so when considering her future, it would make sense for us to do the same. Sally is a crossover character from The Bold and the Beautiful, meaning she has also starred on the sister show of The Young and the Restless.
When Sally was on The Bold and the Beautiful, she was romantically interested in Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who was married when Sally was in town. Conveniently, Liam is currently quite single.
Sally also dated Thomas Forrester and had a potentially serious relationship with Liam’s brother Wyatt Spencer. Thomas is currently married, and Wyatt isn’t in town, but since Sally faked that she was dying as a way to try to keep Wyatt, he probably wouldn’t be interested.
Professionally, Sally is looking to dive into her work to distract herself from thinking about Adam. On The Bold and the Beautiful, Forrester Creations has a fashion line called Hope for the Future that has been struggling. Sally could bring her talents and designs to L.A. and offer to do a collaboration with them. Sally had designed for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) the last time she was in town, and Steffy would happily replace Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) at the office.
