'Why is Lily getting Victor involved' — The Young and the Restless fans want to know

Fans of The Young and the Restless wondered what Lily was up to when she involved Victor in her search for more information on Damian Kane.

Lily’s wrath on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Lily (Christel Khalil) once trusted Victor (Eric Braeden) to do right by her, but she was used and spat out. Now, she’s turned to him for help. On the heels of Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) claiming that she and Victor felt terrible for what they did to her, Lily seemed to see a light at the end of the forgiveness tunnel. Nikki and Victor had used Lily to take down Billy (Jason Thompson) with inside information, making promises to have her running Abbott-Chancelor when all along that job was promised to Nikki.

But now that Lily wants to know more about Damian (Jermaine Rivers), Nate’s half-brother, she has fans wondering why she would trust Victor, and what she’ll owe him for the favor.

On the Soap Central message boards, fans and viewers hashed it out. User perky7kc wrote, “The last thing we need is even more Victor. I was enjoying the Amy, Damian story mainly because Victor and Nikki weren’t involved.” Nightrocker added, “Victor is a Headhunter.”

Rubythroat1 pointed out, “He owes Lilly one. He knows that and so does Nicki. There is no one who can get information like Victor. It is like he has contacts on the Dark Web of corporate intrigue.”

ShesAllThat replied to perky7kc’s comment with, “because just like everyone else - they despise victor and his ways UNLESS he is using his power for them! She is as two faced as the rest of GC!” Rubythroat1 said, “How many times does Victor cow to a demand from someone like Lilly? Unless there is something in it for him, he just looks disinterested or chuckles and looks smug. Something is up.”

Soccermommy commented, “Lily wanting a favor from Victor was a bit perplexing, especially after the conversation with Nikki. I couldn’t believe the load of, er, tripe, Nikki was feeding Lily, especially the line about even Newmans having demotions as situations demand, usually something orchestrated by Victor to keep people in line. Does Nikki actually believe this hooey, or is she drinking spiked kool-aid? I really don’t want to see any Newman involvement with the Damian saga. Sigh.”

Whether Victor is going to use his help as a way of leveraging Lily at some later time or he’s just doing it because Nikki thinks he should as a way to try and make amends for their treatment of her, we won't know any time soon. But what we can all agree on is this: Victor certainly has better access to information than he does security for his ranch.
