On The Young and the Restless, Michael was surprised that Victor knew Aristotle Dumas, but even more surprised they had a history together. We, however, were not surprised at all.
The Young and the Restless, A History Lesson

With Michael's (Christian LeBlanc) latest meeting with Victor (Eric Braeden) on the subject of the elusive Mr Dumas, Michael reported to Victor that it appeared that A.D had no interest in Winters (Hamilton-Winters Group) and that Nate had sought Damian out. Michael was sure that A.D posed no threat to Winters, but Victor regaled a detail of his history with the man. Victor said that he and A.D would often be after the same businesses, and it would alternate who won. Victor would try to bait A.D and draw him out, but it would fail; the man can just ignore the great Victor Newman. Michael stated that any man who could ignore Victor should not be overlooked himself. Truer words have not been said on The Young and the Restless.
Victor holds the theory that A.D will make a hit on a company and then vanish like mist in the morning. When Michael offered that Victor's intent was not about helping Devon and Lily, he was told that Devon and Lily could help by getting Aristotle Dumas in his sights. Are we getting closer to the moment we have A.D revealed to us? I’m not so sure. I think there will be a little more carrot-dangling and clues given first. Billy (Jason Thompson), I believe, was contacted by A.D, sensing a chance or another shot at engaging Victor in their game of business chess, and offered his services and wallet. Having someone like that as a silent benefactor was too much of a good thing to ignore for Billy, and he jumped at the chance, as he also has a growing need to get back at Victor. And who could blame him? Being the man to take Victor down would be an amazing accolade.
What Goes Around Comes Around

Imagine the stories around the log fire at the Abbott mansion at Christmas and other holidays. Jack and Billy yakking it up. It would go down in the annals of history for sure. Two of the regular contributors on the Soap Central Message Boards had this to say.
“And how exactly could Victor know what’s going on with Dumas and Damian, they can read his emails. It’s hard to believe that Dumas doesn’t have a secure email. Unless this is just Victor playing Lily. Wouldn’t put it past him.” -perky7kc
“I totally agree with your comment perky7kc How does Victor know who, what, when, where and why Aristotle Dumas contacts anyone? It makes no sense. It's just downright ridiculous. Now he's trying to make Lily think Dumas is after Winters Inc. I hope he's 100% wrong and Dumas is after HIM! Boy, I'd 💓 for that to happen!” -CloverLeaf
It's a hot topic of debate who Aristotle Dumas is, and with Daniel Goddards most recent post on Instagram, I’m going to say again, all signs point to it being Cane. And I'm totally ok with that. Billy working with Cane and having a throwdown with “The Moustache”? Yes please.
