Here’s what to watch on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, when Victor keeps a secret from Nikki, Claire confides in Cole, and Victoria faces a moral dilemma on The Young and the Restless.

Partnerships face strain

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) agreed that preserving Katherine Chancellor’s legacy at Chancellor Industries was a top priority. They set a plan in motion together that included Nikki befriending Lily (Christel Khalil) to get inside information about the company when Lily was still co-CEO with Billy (Jason Thompson).

Billy threw a curve ball by firing Lily, but that didn’t change Lily’s ambitions. Lily has offered her help to Victor and Nikki’s plan, but she is unaware that Victor promised his wife that she would be the CEO after the takeover. Meanwhile, Victor has given his word to Lily, as well.

Victor is lying to Lily if he meant his promise to Nikki. And despite Nikki telling Victor that she would only go ahead with the plan if they were straight up with Lily, Victor does what he wants. Things are going to get messy when he needs to follow through on one of his commitments.

Daddy knows best

Claire (Hayley Erin) isn’t necessarily ready for changes in her life, but they’re happening all around her, anyway. Through the summer, she was dedicated to caring for Harrison (Redding Munsell), but he is back in school and does not need all of her attention.

Meanwhile, Nikki has asked her granddaughter to work with her at an upcoming job opportunity, but Claire has no specifics. She has also been considering returning to school and finishing her degree.

The problem is that Claire has developed strong feelings for Harrison’s dad, Kyle (Michael Mealor). While this might just make separating personal and professional choices a little cloudy for some, it’s life-altering for Claire. She has never had a romantic relationship before, and Kyle is well experienced. After just one kiss, Claire was already deeply in over her head.

On Wednesday’s show, Claire turns to her dad for advice. Will Cole give her an objective perspective from a guy’s point of view? Or will he tell her to run for the hills? If anyone can advise someone what it’s like to get involved with a member of one of the most prominent families in Genoa City, it’s Cole.

Billy could have an ally

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has been struggling with what she knows about her parents’ plan to take over Chancellor Industries.

While she knows it’s just business, this deal could ruin Billy personally and professionally. Since he’s the father of two of her children—and Victor and Nikki’s grandchildren—Victoria wants them to consider that when carrying out their plan.

Victoria has been weighing out the options of warning Billy about what they are up to. She almost unknowingly let it slip in front of Lily that Victor was lying about giving her the top job after the takeover. Will she intentionally tell Billy that he is in danger? Victor wouldn’t be too forgiving if his daughter leaked his secrets to one of his sworn enemies.
