Chance (Conner Floyd) and Sharon (Sharon Case) used to be involved, so he knows her quite well. Well enough, anyway, to suspect when she is lying.
Chance has come to Sharon's with questions about Heather's (Vail Bloom) death. He knows from Lucy (Lily Brooks O'Brien) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) that Sharon recently had public outbursts with the Romalottis. So far, Sharon has been able to downplay her behavior.
Although ill-timed and self-serving, Sharon apologized to Daniel and Lucy. She even shocked Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Summer (Allison Lanier) by saying she was sorry for her behavior. Sharon told her family that she had a wake-up call for change.
Sharon may be able to convince Chance that she regrets her recent arguments with Heather, but will he ask Sharon where she was the night Heather disappeared?
Faith (Reylynn Caster) knows there have been times when her mom's whereabouts can't be accounted for. Faith is home while Chance is questioning her mom. Will Faith hear that Sharon's timeline matches the times that Chance is questioning?
Corporate Wars
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) left her position at Newman Media as Victor (Eric Braeden) promised that she would become the new CEO of Chancellor Industries once they took the company from Billy (Jason Thompson). However, Victor also promised Lily the position.
Victor told Lily (Christel Khalil) he wanted to move slowly, but Victoria said the takeover could be just days away. Victoria clarified that the position Nikki had promised Claire (Hayley Erin) was imminent and advised against Claire taking a job as a nanny for Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).
Nikki doesn't necessarily agree with Victor's tactics but has no reason to doubt he won't keep his word. Still, she is a businesswoman in her own right and has her own relationships to maintain.
On Thursday, Nikki gets the upper hand in a negotiation, but what — and with whom — is she bargaining?
