Mariah surmised that Ian had taken Tessa and Mariah. Victor scolded Nikki, Victoria, and Claire for taking matters into their own hands by plotting Jordan’s death. The foursome maintained to everyone else that Jordan had swallowed her own poison. Victor’s security staff forced Ian to return to the Newman ranch. Ian refused to sign a confession to Heather’s murder. Nick demanded that Ian reveal Tessa and Aria’s whereabouts. In the ensuing scuffle, Ian wrestled control of Victor’s henchman’s gun, and he made Victor summon other members of the Newman family to the house. Claire antagonized Ian by taunting that Jordan had never loved him. Victor attempted to bargain with Ian, to no avail. Ian pushed Victor to choose a family member to die, but Victor insisted that it be him. When Victor stepped toward Ian, Ian shot him in the arm. Victor tackled Ian on the couch, and the gun went off, severely injuring Ian. Ian implored Nick to finish the job, but Nick preferred to watch Ian die slowly and painfully. EMTs arrived, and Victor was escorted to the hospital for surgery, while Ian was declared dead at the scene. Later, Ian’s eyes opened as an ambulance carted him away. Chance was skeptical about Michael’s claim that Ian had been there to avenge Jordan’s death and that Ian had confessed to drugging Sharon and killing Heather. Tessa and Aria returned unharmed from a drive gone awry because the car hadn’t been charged. Mariah and Tessa exchanged apologies and reunited. After Sharon’s vision of Cameron encouraged her to forgive herself, Sharon and Cameron shared a surprisingly heartfelt goodbye. Sharon vowed to make amends to Daniel and Lucy. Daniel overheard Michael telling Sharon the charges against her had officially been dropped. Daniel requested time to process Ian’s role in Heather’s death. Chelsea and Adam moved into the old Newman ranch house. Nick offered Chelsea his support to ensure Adam honored her boundaries. Nick and Adam contemplated what life would be like if Victor was gone, and Nick assured Adam that he would always be part of the Newman family and company. With Damian on his way to Genoa City, Nate prepared to tell his half-brother the truth. Nate and Audra assuaged Amy’s fears that she’d lose her son again. Billy contemplated starting a business of his own.
