Audra confessed to Nate that she’d briefly dated Holden in Los Angeles and that she was grateful to Holden for helping her get out of an unsettling situation with some ungentlemanly investors. Nate forgave Audra for not telling him the truth right away, but she later confided to Sally that things had been more intense with Holden than she’d let on. Sally was touched when Audra spoke of how Nate and Amy were starting to feel like her family. Adam and Chelsea agreed to give their relationship another chance. Adam assured Chelsea there was no chance he’d ever reconcile with Sally. After Adam surprised Chelsea with a homemade dinner, they shared a passionate kiss, but she pulled back and insisted on taking things slowly. Lily and Damian opened up about their pasts over dinner, but she made it clear it wasn’t a date. In an effort to protect Lily, Victor enlisted Michael’s help to find out more about Aristotle Dumas. Nick and Mariah worried when they were unable to contact Sharon. Nick and Mariah compared notes with Daniel and Summer and realized that Sharon had gone missing around the same time Phyllis had disappeared. Sharon and Phyllis woke up in a locked room in an abandoned psychiatric facility. An unseen person using a voice distorter gave Sharon and Phyllis orders over a loudspeaker, imploring them to play a game to stay alive. The captor provided clues that were tied to Sharon and Phyllis’ tumultuous past. After solving a riddle, the captor allowed Sharon and Phyllis to each call a loved one with assurance that they were fine. Sharon called Nick from a burner phone with a story about finally taking her trip to Sedona and losing her phone, but he was baffled when she requested that he let her kids know instead of contacting them herself. Nick’s suspicions grew when Summer informed him Phyllis had also contacted her from a burner phone with a similar story. Billy was miffed to learn that Phyllis had told Nick about the launch of Abbott Communications. Sharon and Phyllis contemplated whether the captor intended to have one of them kill the other or for them to find common ground. The women realized that Nick was at the center of their hatred toward one another. Sharon and Phyllis waffled between whether to work together or outsmart each other.
