This week on The Young and the Restless, Nick agreed to accompany Sharon to visit Noah in London. Chance linked the purchase of the remote-control device found on the gas valve at Havenhurst to the clinic where Ashley had been treated in Paris. Nick realized Chance suspected Alan had been involved in Phyllis and Sharon’s kidnapping. Phyllis convinced Nick and Sharon to postpone their trip. Chance discovered a farmhouse outside Genoa City with a video feed to the room where Sharon and Phyllis had been held hostage. Traci disguised her panic when Alan suddenly returned from Paris. Alan sensed something was wrong when Traci suggested slowing down their wedding plans. As Alan became increasingly irate, Traci covertly alerted Jack on her phone. Jack and Ashley listened in on Traci and Alan’s conversation and rushed to Traci’s suite. Jack and Ashley feigned support of the couple’s wedding. Ashley defended Traci’s desire to wait, citing advice Alan had once given her about delaying gratification. Later, Traci was devastated when Ashley confirmed she believed Martin was posing as Alan. Traci confronted her fiancé, who insisted he loved her. Chance escorted Alan to the police station, where Alan denied Sharon and Phyllis’ accusations that he’d kidnapped them. The women staged a bitter argument and claimed to hate one another even more after being held captive together. After Phyllis taunted that Alan’s experiment had failed, Martin snapped and revealed that he’d been masquerading as his late brother. Martin mocked Alan’s degrees and took credit for helping Ashley. Jack and Ashley comforted a heartbroken Traci, who blamed herself for endangering her family and friends. Traci removed her engagement ring. Victor offered Audra her dream job in exchange for her opening Claire’s eyes about who Kyle really was. Nate was suspicious when he caught Victor and Audra sharing a drink together. Sally cautioned that working with Victor might ruin Audra’s relationship with Nate. Audra decided to tell Nate that she was working with Victor but leave out the part about Kyle. Audra accepted Victor’s offer, provided he funded a company of her own and gave her an iron-clad contract. Kyle suggested that he and Claire move in together. After seeing Summer’s jealous reaction to seeing Kyle and Claire together, Chance pushed Summer to finally admit she wasn’t over Kyle. Chance told Summer she had to figure things out on her own.
